If you thought the birther movement had finally died down, think again. On Thursday, Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett threatened to keep Barack Obama’s name off the ballot in November unless he personally receives a copy of the president’s birth certificate from Hawaii.
Bennett insists he’s not a birther, but is simply responding to requests for an investigation from 1,200 of his constituents. In a radio interview with conservative host Mike Broomhead, Bennett said, “I believe president was born in Hawaii…or at least I hope he was!”
The Ed Show’s Ed Schultz says we’ve heard this kind of language before – from Donald Trump, in April of 2011.
“Let me know how this whole thing works out for you,” Schultz said.
It has been over a year since the White House released a copy of the president’s long form birth certificate. Arizona spokesperson for Obama’s campaign Mahen Gunaratna quickly dispelled any notion the president would actually be left off the ballot, issuing this statement Friday:
“The President will be on the ballot this November in Arizona alongside Mitt Romney. And Arizonans will have a choice between a President who brought us back from the brink of another Depression so job loss has been reversed to create 4.2 million private sector jobs, manufacturing is resurgent, and GM is the #1 automaker in the world — and a Governor with a familiar and troubling economic scheme: more budget-busting tax cuts for the wealthy; fewer rules for Wall Street — the same formula that benefited a few, but crashed our economy and punished the middle class.”

I may be wrong but I was under the impression that any child born to an American citizen( Mother) is automatically a citizen regardless of where he or she is born.

Because he was born on a military base, it's considered American soil even though he was born in Panama.

Since a lot of republicans believe that the government is so bad (but want to be in government) why don't we just give them a republican only state with no roads paid for by us taxpayers, maybe an oil state with no oil subsidies paid buy us and no health care, no social security or medicare? What kind of person listens to a politician railing against government health care and the person telling them this has government health care. What a loser mentality!

In order to help the middle and poor classes, He would have to increase the wages, offer health and retirement benefits to care and that is contrary to his philosophy of only profits.
Why would Arizona wrongly deny the basic constitutional right guaranteed for over two centuries to their citizens. Why would a very few dictate the contrived parameters of requiring proof of citizenship when that matter has been settled publicly. Make those fools show their own citizenship documents to the public and if they refuse, let them secede from the Union. Let them tax themselves so they can create their nation without the help from the Union. Will they love that idea? Probably.

The long-form birth certificate offered at White House website would not pass in any state as proof of birth. It is a forgery...a PDF file in 9 layers where portions of the certificate are found in pieces in the layers.

No further requests need be made to show the birth certificate. What has been officially posted is a forgery...a crude fraud.
