Tuesday night on The Ed Show, conservative syndicated talk show host Michael Medved claimed that no prominent Republicans have argued that President Barack Obama might not be a citizen. According to Medved, only "fringe Republicans" ever partook in birther-ism. In fact, the list of Republican officials and bigwigs who questioned Obama's nation of birth include Reagan administration official Alan Keyes, 2008 vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, as well as several GOP state Senators and Representatives. And, of course, onetime GOP candidate Donald Trump has been around stirring up spurious claims about the president's origins.
It was not the only falsehood Medved peddled in his segment on The Ed Show. According to Medved, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney rejected Trump's claims that President Obama was not born in the United States. "He does," Medved said, in response to host Ed Schultz's query about why Romney hasn't criticized Trump's birther-ism. In fact, questioned by reporters about Trump's lies, Romney has said only, "You know, I don't agree with all the people who support me and my guess is they don't all agree with everything I believe in. But I need to get 50.1 percent or more and I'm appreciative to have the help of a lot of good people."
In September, Romney met with Trump to "kiss his proverbial ring," as the New York Times put it. While Romney has said he knows that Obama was born in the United States, he has not only failed to repudiate Trump, he appeared at a fundraiser with The Donald on Tuesday night, in Las Vegas.
Indeed, it was highly symbolic that Romney met with Trump the very night he clinched the Republican nomination, with a big primary victory in Texas.

Bill Mahr isn't questioning anyone's birth place. Sarah Palin and the Trump chump have proven their worthiness for criticism and laughter. We can't still be taking them seriously can we? Anyone seriously comparing Romney to the President or for the presidency for that matter needs some intense and immediate therapy.

I agree. But when there are so many people with more spare time than brains, it's a bit disingenuous to expect them to boycott Trump. They probably get vicarious pleasure when Trump fires an apprentice, since they aren't in a position to fire the people they hold responsible for the unpleasant lives they lead. Besides, it would be worse if they quit watching "Celebrity Apprentice" in exchange for watching something on Faux News instead!

Mitt just released his State certified Birth Certificate and shocker it's fake. The Media/Reporters dare not speak up because Mitt will get them fired. Lenore Romney is listed as 36 years old on the birth record and State verified yet she was born in 1908 and was really 38 years old on March 12, 1947. Mitt might not know where he was born as George and Lenore had a college on Canadian Shore of Lake Huron. It wouldn't have been a surprise if Mitt was born in Canada as his Mom medical problems. With Lenore's health problems and George working all the time it would make sense that Lenore be close to her doctor. Most wealthy people don't take about personal matters as even Mitt didn't know much about his own Father and hardly ever speaks of his Mother. The Romney family is strange as Tagg had twins with a surrogate and the twins will have to call Tagg's wife Mom.
If Romney had any intestinal fortitude, he never would have sought Trump's endorsement; if Trump endorsed Romney unasked for, then Romney should repudiate the endorsement.

Scopes has verified this....When Romney went to Bain & Co. as CEO he took a salary of one dollar. When he went to rescue the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics, he accepted no salary for three years and would not use an expense account. He also accepted no salary as Governor of Massachusetts. Now that's a man of character who will serve this country well as President.

On truthers how many people in the democratic party believed that was it more than say 1/5 which is a conservative estimate of republicans who have birther sympathies. Who were the democratic politicians encouraging that? Rosie O'donnell doesn't count. Did a prominent King of truthers throw a party for Obama's wife like Trump did?

He allowed the right wing radio talk show host to drum this person out. This talk show personality even came back to criticize Mitt for not standing up to him. He remarked if Mitt couldn't stand up to him how will he be able to stand up to China.
It's way past time to deal with these idiot republicans. Please, by all means, I propose a campaign to have tens of thousands of Hawaiian citizens flood the RNC, Trump, and birthers with emails and faxes displaying copies of their individual birth certificates to show their stupidity in making such an issue. This will surely show the American public and independent voters the clear choice to vote for, and expose their morbid insanity. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
