On PoliticsNation with the Rev. Al Sharpton, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) decried the "sick moment for our nation" caused by constant politicization by the Republicans.
"It's happening in Washington so much Reverend, and it's a sick moment for our nation, it's a dark moment. Because what we're doing is, we are so caught up into the disposal of President Barack Obama that we are dropping down into a level of incivility that most people have never seen before," Cleaver said.
Cleaver, the Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, was referring to the announcement by Rep. Darrell Issa, who chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, that he will hold a hearing to decide whether to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt, for what Issa said was the DOJ's refusal to cooperate with a subpoena related to the Fast and Furious investigation.
"We're trying to destroy Eric Holder for enforcing the law," Cleaver said.

This is an outrage!!!
The attack on President Obama and our United States Attorney
General Eric Holder is outrageous and should not be tolerated. These two men
are in the highest positions in this country and the Republicans are completely
out of control with their disrespect and hate for these two men.
It appears as if they (Republicans and some of the
Democrats) are still following the rulings of the Dred Scott Decision, along
with the Naturalization Act of 1790, the Black Codes of the 19th
Century, the Jim Crow Laws, and the Willie Lynch training manual, all rolled
into one system of racial fascism.
The Republicans do not want anyone, including the President
to tell them how they are ignoring/breaking the laws and destroying this
country because of their so-called greed for money, control, and power. I
believe that since Black Americans are no longer a piece of property and
continue to be competitive, the European Americans do not like the changes that
are occurring across this country.
As Tim Wise (a white anti-racist activist stated in his book
titled: Dear White America: A Letter to A New Minority, “The truth is,
discrimination and inequity stalk the present day” (p.26). Some people will
say, ‘We have a Black President.’ Yes, we do. But, tell me why there has been a large
increase in white supremacy groups.
"Barack Obama's election has inflamed racist extremists
who see it as another sign that their country is under siege by
nonwhites," said Mark Potok, editor of the Intelligence Report, a
SPLC quarterly investigative journal. "The idea of a black man in the
White House combined with the deepening economic crisis and continuing high
levels of Latino immigration, has given white supremacists a real platform on
which to recruit."
The Republicans appear to have the attitude that they are untouchable and no one should question their agenda, especially our President and Attorney General Holder. Because Holder is making sure that everyone who is legally registered to vote, the Republicans across the country are making laws to restrict citizens from
voting. Also, the Republicans do not want AG Holder enforcing the laws that would cause them problems.
The following statement was written on the back of Wise’s book back section of Wise’s book , “Faced with mounting economic, cultural and political insecurity, many whites are growing anxious with the fact that they will soon no longer constitute the majority of the population, a fact foreshowed by the Obama presidency. “
I pray that one day, the hate, the bigotry, the inequality, and the disrespect of one another will be a thing of the past.
The Republicans want us to hold on to the old ways of doing
things and expecting a different result. The world is changing and in order to
move into the future, on behalf of our children and our children’s children, we
must elect individuals who will transform, inspire and motivate the world in
which we live. Stop the hate and let’s communicate!
