Has anyone every considered the reason they don't find that many weapons is because of the frisking? I know if I was in the habit of carrying a weapon everywhere I went I would probably be inclined to leave it home with the high possibility of being frisked. It's sad it has to be this way, but this is the world we live in today. I've heard the crime has gone down considerably in New York, while in Chicago it is rampant. Do they follow New York's example?

After all when was the last time you heard of a cop stopping a robbery or rape in progress, it doesn't happen too often, if ever?

I do not live in New York City and I therefore do not have enough information to understand the local issue of "Stop and Frisk". So I will keep my comments about this local matter to a minimum. You should do the same. So answer these questions for us all. Do it because if you do not you are nothing but a little yellow coward here to heckle and not to discuss.
1. Do you live in New York City or one of the boroughs? If so for how long and how many times have the cops stopped to frisk you?
2. What information do you have about New York City to make a judgement about "Stop and Frisk" policies by the police?
3. If you were a black person, who lived in New York City would your perspective change? If you were a black father would you like your teenage daughter, wife, or girlfriend felt up by the cops during this "stop and frisk" type episodes?

2. If you don't like where you live, then move. I really don't care about the Stop and Frisk rule but you reap what you sow. Communities can lower crime, by Community Assistance working with NYPD. It works well in other cities. So get involved. IT's called TRUSTING ONE ANOTHER.
3. That falls in line with #2. When NYPD gets to know the community, everybody works together for one cause, a better city. And I really doubt you'll see much of that. it's all called TRUST. Bottom line. If you don't like the STOP AND FRISK rule. Then, "STAIGHTEN UP AND FLY RIGHT."

Irisheagle: The only way to really lower crime is to give people in lower socioeconomic areas hope for a better future. Sort of funny how we had lots of kids in the U.S. Army from New York City and most of them we nice if you treated them decently. Most of them were in the military because they could not find any decent paying jobs in their community. Could it be that these neighborhoods might be better places to live if people actually living their had decent paying jobs to go to everyday?
One of the reasons many of us on my side of the aisle support public education, technical school, community colleges, and state of the art infrastructure, including green energy and bullet trains is that our country is stagnant with deep pockets of almost permanent of depression for those who reside in those pockets. For these people the U.S. is almost a 3rd world country. Without government and private industry working together in partnership there is no way the people who live in these permanent pockets of depression can pull themselves up by their bootstraps simply because many of them don't even own a pair of boots. The conservative/socialist prison-industrial complex is not the way to a solution, it is the way to nowhere. No industrialized country locks up more human beings in proportion to its population than America. Conservatives love to spend $50,000 per year per prisoner to lock non-violent offenders up but refuse to spend $10,000 per year per pupil for year around school or community colleges that could make these "prisoners" into normal married, taxpaying citizens. Conservatives have a strange bizarre way of looking at arithmetic.

As I understand it, New York City's crime rate has gone down approximately 30% over the last few years. I know other cities have had similar results. It never ceases to amaze me the mechanical process of logic that goes on in a person's head. In 2000 if more Blacks in Florida voted or rioted because they were denied the vote (over 20,000) then Al Gore would have been President and America would still be intact as a world economic force instead of the debt slavery state Bush/Cheney left for us. Can I talk about Gangsta Rap now. The White devil stole the message/sound/stylee from Reggae and turned into a gangsta rap weapon that has ruined generations of youth. According to CIA operatives (such as Tosh Plumlee) it wasn’t Black people bringing crack cocaine to their own communities.
I don’t know if anyone noticed but some of the worst crack dealers in CA and NY are now superstar celebrities who play cops in TV and movies… Why is that? Reward for helping the White Devil with his evil plans, right? Snoop Dog hanging out with the Bush Family in the Sky Box?

Look at the hierarchy of the Black 1% who did NOTHING while Bush/Cheney set back minority rights back along with the failing economy.
