The head of the national Democratic party is pulling no punches in fighting back against the war on women, slamming Republicans' "obsession with women's bodies" Monday.
On The Rachel Maddow Show, Maddow and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz discussed state-level GOP efforts to roll back abortion rights. In Michigan, Republicans even banned a female Democratic lawmaker from speaking on the statehouse floor after she dared to use the word "vagina" last week during a debate over abortion rights.
Republicans "obsession with women's bodies and controlling women's bodies has really seeped all the way down so deeply, and the extremism has seeped so deeply, into the Republican Party that you've got state after state that is initiating this legislation," said Wasserman Schultz, a Florida lawmaker who chairs the Democratic National Committee.
The congresswoman added that the "dramatically out-of-step, out-of-touch extremism that exists from the top to the bottom of the Republican Party is really, I think, finally startling and shocking to women."

It looks like the DNC granted Maddow a slight reprieve from the political wilderness. We haven't forgotten Ms. Maddow's year of Obama bashing in 2010. We won't forget to remember that Maddow knows no allegiance politically, and can simply be unreasonable and unfair, on a whim, and for sport. We're watching her actions very closely and are on guard to see if Miss Maddow will turn on the Dems this year. We won't be fooled again. Donkeys have good memories. .Gobama!

Bravo to Rep. Wasserman Schultz, and to Rachel for giving her a forum. But I must disagree with the congresswoman's statement that Republicans are obsessed with "controlling women's bodies." What these jerks are obsessed with is controlling women's MINDS!
