Nancy Pelosi has one word to describe how she felt after listening to Mitt Romney's latest remarks on health care: "Confused."
“I was confused, because it was as if he was for it before he was against it, and now he’s both," the House Minority Leader told MSNBC's Ed Schultz during Thursday's The Ed Show. "He supports the decision of the court, to overturn the entire bill, and yet he said, but if they do that, you still cannot be discriminated against on the basis of pre-existing medical conditions."
"How does that happen?" she went on. "Is he going to pay for it? Maybe he’s volunteering. The fact is, you cannot have it both ways."
Romney vowed he would seek a full repeal of the health care legislation, echoing GOP leaders John Boehner, Eric Cantor and Mitch McConnell.
Pelosi insisted, however, that "the decision has been made."
"More people taking advantage of the health care reform—some of the provisions that are already in effect —know how important to them," she said. "Whether it’s pre-existing conditions, staying on your parent’s plan, whether it’s lower costs of prescription drugs for seniors. Those kinds of issues, and the more people know what it means to them, the more popular the bill will be, no matter what the other side says."
Schultz noted Republicans would spend election season arguing that the health care law is not cost efficient, and that it will blow up the country's deficit. Pelosi said she was up for the fight.
"We'’ll just have to have that debate," she said, "because what they want is insurance companies to have their way." she said She went on, "But I think these elections are always about jobs. That’s really what the debate will be."

Funny how she doesn't bother to mention that the Supreme Court decision opens the door for 21 new taxes in an attempt to fund part of Obamacare. These new taxes will collect $675 Billion over 10 years - more than half will DIRECTLY effect families making LESS THAN $250,000 a year. In other news, the GAO recently reported that initial estimates of the cost of Obamacare were off, by 100%, it will cost $1.9 Trillion, not the $900 Billion claimed.
So she knows who is going to pay for the version of Obamacare she's behind. The American Taxpayer. The middle class people they're trying to give a "fair shake" to. More like shakedown.
The teabaggers are very upset, this means they finally will have to contribute something to their healthcare. I'm so tired of going to the E.R. for an actual emergency, and seeing a bunch of slack jawed rednecks with sniffles sitting around waiting for their handout medical care, that the rest of us with insurance have to pay for. No more rolling the bones on healthcare teatards, the days of not paying for insurance knowing the rest of us will have to pay for any emergency you encounter are over. Take some of that personal responsibility your GOP leaders keep talking about and rejoice in your chance to contribute to society by not being a burden. Of course health care is constitutional. And the Supreme Court has decided that implementing a tax to pay for it is constitutional. I do get a kick out of those libs on here that assume the tax is on the rich. In reality, only stupid rich people will be taxed. It is 1% of income, so a rich person probably already has insurance, but if not- would be far cheaper to get an entry level package. The uninsured that the concern is with are the poor. It is they that will either have to pay substantial amounts for insurance, or pay a 1% tax. Now, in reality, if a person makes $20,000 per year, and they don't have insurance, they can either pay $500+ per month in innsurance premiums, or they can pay a $200 per year tax to go without it. Net effect- poor people will be uninsured, just $200 a year poorer...
Good they should start paying something. Where's all that personal responsibility talk from you guys?
