All of the evidence released in the last 48 hours directly contradicts his lies. Romney did not finalize a severance agreement with Bain until 2002, a 10-year deal with undisclosed terms that was retroactive to 1999. It expired in 2009.

So maybe he did fly back to sign some "release" papers. I know it takes a while to sale a business but 3 yrs is stretching it. And saying you're on a leave of absence does not excuse you; not if you're going to continue to hold 100% of the stock and sign papers saying you're the Executive. So everything that happened between 1999 & 2002 is still his responsibility for him to own. To say otherwise is showing a lack of responsibility and leadership.

And the fact Romney struck a 10 year deal that expired in 2009 tells me that's why he won't release any tax returns from 2009 and back.

DHB- well, I'm on a fixed entitlement and am below the poverty line. From what I've seen of the Republican Party and their policies, I would be totally screwing myself to vote anything but Democrat. But the newly publicized documents {SEC fillings} show that he was at least nominally in charge of the company until 2002 - “sole stockholder, chairman of the board, chief executive officer, and president.”

These are the facts.

The question is whether he was "in charge" or the paperwork hadn't been updated (or something...). Whether a crime was committed is dependent on the answer to this question.

We do not have the answer yet.

And if Mittens wasn't so busy hiding all of his tax returns and other documentation related to his time at Bain we may have an answer. My bet is he doesn't want that answer out in the general public because he knows the damage it'll do. Doesn't everyone have Swiss Bank accounts, multiple shell companies based in tax haven countries, and random Grand Cayman money funds?

1st there are 2 types of company stock, class "A" and class "B".

Class A shares (aka preferred shares) have no voting rights.

Class B have voting rights.
