Accused killer George Zimmerman is speaking out and says he has no regrets on his actions the night that unarmed Trayvon Martin was shot and killed but that he is "sorry" for the teen's parents.
The neighborhood watch volunteer—who has been charged in second-degree murder in Martin's death—gave his first public interview since taking the witness stand to Fox News' Sean Hannity on Wednesday.
Zimmerman said he was sorry that Trayvon's parents had to bury their son, but when Hannity asked if he wished he never got out of his vehicle, followed Trayvon, or carried the gun, he said "No."
"No sir. I feel that it was all God's plan," he said.
The Grio's Joy Reid suggested to MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell that Zimmerman was talking because he's trying to raise cash for his legal defense fund. "This is their audience," she said of Fox News. "This is sort of Zimmerman's base, and he's going there in part to shore up the fundraising."
Zimmerman has raised more than $200,000 from online donations.
O'Donnell said it was strange that Zimmerman professed no regrets about carrying a weapon.
"Obviously, if [Zimmerman] did not have the gun, none of this would have happened," said O'Donnell.
Trayvon, 17, was returning home from a convenience store Feb. 26 in Sanford, Fla., when Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer followed the teen and told police dispatchers that he looked suspicious.
Zimmerman, 28, claimed he fired in self-defense after Trayvon jumped him and has pled not guilty. Zimmerman is free on a $1 million bail.

Hopefully, God's ultimate plan is to make Zimmerman pay for his sins. Sick that he is the one who has a life and Trayvon, a young many of 16 lost his.
Are you on drugs, just like that dead POS trayvon was...Zimmerman is a HERO he took out the trash, that dead thug got what he deserved, if he was so innocent 16 yr old, Why was he a menace to society and wannabe gang member and just like every gang member gets in the end a free eternal dirt nap courtesy of an law abiding citizen...GOOD JOB ZIMMERMAN
Are you on drugs? just like that dead POS trayvon was...listen dont justify trayvon's action, as we all know trayvon was the attacker and he got what he deserved a 9mm bullet to his chest and you know that he was NOT a young innocent man he was a young wannabe thug and gang member. Zimmerman is a HERO! he took out that scum eliminating him from society so he wouldn't hurt anyone else, trayvon ended up just like any other thug...DEAD! with a free eternal dirt nap courtesy of an Law Abiding Citizen...GOOD JOB ZIMMERMAN
That's really good. Now, everyone can claim they killed a person under the 'God's Plan Act". Are these jokers serious? If Jesus wasn't into forgiving I'd say watch out boy. Papa is in the house.

Funny.
You can find part of the interview over on FoxNews.com, now, but, NOT THIS PART of the interview (where Mr. Zimmermann says "It was all God's plan").
I shouldn't be surprised by this, coming from the channel that promotes the party of "personal responsibility."
Here's the part of the interview available on foxnews.com
Yes first he said he wouldn't have changed anything he did that night. I still would have followed Trayvon for no reason. etc etc "it was all Gods plan what happened that night. etc etc. But then later in the interview he tells Hannity at the end of interview "you know when you asked me if there was anything I could have changed earlier I thought you were talking about the way I answered police questions when we went to the police station. "
Then he changed his story again and said how bad he felt for Trayvons parents. This guy is a joke and a complete liar. Zimmerman followed, stalked and then got out of his car and chased after Trayvon for NO REASON WHATSOEVER at night and in the rain. Then he murdered Trayvon in cold blood when Trayvon defended himself against him. Zimmerman also refused to answer any questions about the perjury charges or the rape charges from his cousin. I wonder why he wouldn't talk about those charges seeing that there's still people alive that can prove those charges. He's a joke. Send this lying, rapist, murderer off to prison the rest of his life and be done with it.
how did he get a direct line to god
Apparently Zimmerman doesn't know the God in the Bible. Thou shall not judge your neighbor (judging Trayvon's guilt based on a hoody and being black walking late at night). Obeying the laws of the land (police officer asked "are you following him" Zimmermans answer "Yes". Police officer: "we don't need you to do that." Zimmerman continues pursuit of Trayvon ignoring officer). Most importantly, keeping in mind that this man is NOT even law enforcement yet he was pursuing Trayvon. Has ANYONE asked WHY?
God is not about disobedience, judgement, condemnation or lies. This was not God's plan, it was Zimmermans plan.
What a nutcase!! God also gives each person a conscience and laws! Great way to try to ease his guilty conscience if anyone wants to fall for it! It's also God's will that George Zimmerman should die in the electric chair, even though there is a commandment that says: "Thou shalt not kill!"?? He is a sick man and needs hospitalization and treatment until he is employable to pay all his own bills for his lock-up. He won't be available to kill anyone again!
Guess what??!!!! The screams for HELP of Trayvon in the 911 call sounds like Trayvon's arm was being twisted by Zimmerman as Trayvon tried to get away.
Search Youtube for "twisting arm police" and you will hear that the shouts are very similar.
The affidavit stated the following based on evidence by the state: "Zimmerman disregarded the police dispatcher and continued to follow Martin who was trying to return to his home. Zimmerman confronted Martin and a struggle ensued. Witnesses heard people arguing and what sounded like a struggle."

It looks like Zimmerman knows how to brutally inflict pain to the other party (twisting arm) without having the damage show in the autopsy report of the victim so it looks like Zimmerman was the one being attacked by the victim for no reason at all. But in reality, the victim was defending himself from the offender who was twisting his arm.
Listen to "Ginger Vancouver Police Officer Twists Suspect's Arm" in Youtube. The shouts are eerily similar. Even the other video of the arms being twisted "Police Brutality (Twisting arm of Detainee to Extract Information)" had the same characteristics in the pained shouting.
This is in line with one of the witness statements - Mary Cutcher in that when she heard the whining, she did not hear physical fighting that went along with it. She was baffled because she did not hear hits nor fighting. It was just a little kid scared to death and crying.
Watch the youtube video of "Ginger Vancouver Police Officer Twists Suspect's Arm", this is exactly how Mary Cutcher described what happened to Trayvon and she did not understand why she did not hear fighting.
Does anyone actually fall for this guy's wide-eyed deer-in-the-headlights trying to look like he's being honest? He's managed to manipulate people into actually giving him money so that he can buy new phones and a year's contract, pay a loan back to his father (yeah, right), and keep Shelley in all the junk food she can eat (see explanation of expenses). I actually think they might have a good case if they plean insanity.
So a lot of people are saying George Zimmerman wasn't remorseful enough in his interview, and that he was wrong for saying it was God's will.
Well, I think after the shock of the event, the crying and depression that was widely reported, and then the media demonizing and fear of his life he has gone through over the past half year, I think that experience has probably hardened him and he has come to terms with all that has happened through his religion. So why should he feel remorseful? He did nothing wrong, and was demonized by the media. He tried protecting his neighborhood by being a vigilant watcher. And then he was attacked, and defended himself. So how was this God's will? Don't we all say God's will when a tragedy happens? "God works in mysterious ways." We say this by wrote all the time, but now we vilify George Zimmerman more for using a religious tenet, that everything happens for a reason, and that it is God's will.
Of course, he could have taken it even further. God gave us free will, and when Trayvon Martin chose to assault someone when he had no impediment from going home, when he chose to mount someone and bash their head into the ground, well then, he allowed for another to choose to live by defending themselves as best they could, with the gun they bought for self defense. And it was God's Will that George Zimmerman's defense maneuver succeed over Trayvon Martin's attack.
Why did Trayvon Martin choose to attack, instead of walking away, running away, calling out for help before any altercation occurred, or simply called the police if he truly feared for his life? That is a different question. Why is it that he tweeted that White people call the police, and Black people call their cousins (for a confrontation)? That is an education he received, either in his family, or with his friends, that ultimately said he needed to use his fists in a situation of uncertainty, instead of using the law. And that choice, led to his death.
I don't blame Trayvon Martin for this one, but the culture that taught him that this was the only way he had... And that is not God's Will, I disagree with George on that one, it is a societal choice. Do we keep on blaming the police and education for abuses of the past (the police and education were very much used as tools of oppression in Jim Crow and slavery times), and the exceptions of the present (while highly publicized exceptions exist, most cops are not running around trying to kill innocent kids who aren't committing any crime whatsoever, and most teachers aren't trying to teach kids that they are worth less than others), or do we teach them to use those sources to protect them, and to get them further in life? Trayvon Martin had a huge potential in life. But it wasn't George Zimmerman's choices that ultimately cost him his life, it was his own based on what his family and peers taught him.
