At the end of last week, it didn't look like Republican voter suppression efforts could get any more shameful. But over the weekend, the Mitt Romney campaign took things up to 11, jumping into the fray to accuse President Obama of discriminating against military voters.
To explain: As The Rachel Maddow Show detailed Thursday night, and Lean Forward recapped Friday, Ohio is the latest major swing-state—joining Florida and Pennsylvania—where the GOP bid to make voting harder, especially for Democratic groups, is in the spotlight. The Obama campaign is suing to reverse a measure signed last year by Republican Gov. John Kasich that scrapped the last three days of early voting for everyone except military voters. Republicans went ahead with the new law even though in 2008, over 93,000 people took advantage of those last three days to vote, and despite the fact that, as Maddow recounted in detail, excessive wait times at urban polling places on Election Day 2004 had led to a congressional report (pdf) urging reform.
That's pretty much where things stood Saturday morning. That day, Romney's campaign released a statement charging: “President Obama’s lawsuit claiming it is unconstitutional for Ohio to allow servicemen and women extended early voting privileges during the state’s early voting period is an outrage.” The statement suggested that the lawsuit aims to "undermine" the voting rights of military voters.
In reality, of course, the suit does no such thing. Rather than preventing military personnel from voting during the three days at issue, it seeks to restore that opportunity for all voters—as was the case before last year when Kasich and GOP lawmakers changed the law. (You can see for yourself by reading the Obama campaign's brief [pdf]. The relevant excerpt is at the bottom of page 4).
The Obama camapign was quick to point that out. “The way frankly Governor Romney has stated it is completely false and misleading,” David Axelrod, a top Obama aide, said on Fox News Sunday. “That suit is about whether the rest of Ohio should have the same right. And I think it’s shameful that Governor Romney would hide behind our servicemen and women to try and win a lawsuit to deprive other Ohioans, deprive other Ohioans of the right to vote.”
So on Sunday, Team Romney issued a new statement that subtly backed off the charge that Obama sought to "undermine" military voting rights, but continued to imply, falsely, that the suit somehow targeted the military.
“It is not only constitutional, but commendable that the Ohio legislature granted military voters and their families this accommodation,” Katie Biber, a lawyer with the Romney campaign, said in Sunday's statement. "It is despicable for the Obama campaign to challenge Ohio’s lawful decision.”
Of course, Biber didn't mention that the legislature only granted the "accommodation" to military voters after first taking it away for everyone else.
What's despicable, some might say, is that Republicans would first make it harder to vote, then seek to gain further political advantage by misrepresenting the Obama campaign's effort to fix the problem.

Explain to me how any Independent can't see right through what Romney is trying to do here. Where is the outrage from the middle - the voters? Politics has ceased to have any sense of ethics, if it ever had any, in the first place.
Well, we have to hope it did. But seem the republican and tp, have taken it to the gutter.
Good questiion.....Where is the the outrage from the independent voters as the "JOB CZAR" to President Obama, GE CEO Jeffery Immelt and company not only didn't pay any taxes on 5 BILLION dollars of 2010 profit (profits all booked overses), but took 170 million in tax payer funded stimulus, bailout and loans only to turn around , ship jobs to China and India while shutting down domestic plants and slashing the wages of those remaining by 35-40 percent????? WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE????
This was never an issue until the chicago thugs brought it up to deflect thier poor handling of the economy. The military needs the special exemption because of where they are serving.
If you are in the US there is no reason you can not get your lazy butt off the couch to go vote or get an absentee ballott
If Retroactive Romney's mouth is moving, he is lying.
I guess his stiffness and awkwardness is the result of being a spineless puppet...the strings are just well hidden.
Early voting only applies to people voting in their own districts. If they are deployed elsewhere, they vote by absentee ballot.
RobUS -- What a DEEEEEK !!!!! Baahaaahaaaaaa - Baahhaaaaahhhaaaaaaa !!!!!!
YES -- Desperation IS The t/b-gop-neo-Con's Middle Name !!!!! he he ehe heeeeeee !!!
Which is naturally why Romney is talking about some bogus attack on voting rights instead of the economy....yeah it's all about the economy which is why the right is never actually talking about it. Maybe that's why you people don't actually have any real clue how it works or ideas to contribute as to how to improve it.
I thought Romney was only talking about the economy? What happend to that?
Since the courts cannot write laws, the only possible outcome is to disenfranchise military votes. If it was about letting more people vote them he would be asking the legislators to pass a bill for the next election including more people.
cynical: What would you have romney do? He can't write laws like obama, he can't prosecute innocent people like holder. He can't close his overseas bank accounts without obama steeling almost 40% of the money.
He said he would get government off of our backs, starting with obamacare, the rest is up to us.
LOL, the courts do to write law's, they did it in 2000 when they decided that the vote counting needed stopped even though the law said otherwise.
He seems to be either dillusional or an out and out liar.
I'll put my money on an out and out liar....(romney)
duplicate...sorry
I agree with you Fred. It dose not take rocket scientist to see straight through Romney. He's telling you he's going to make your life miserable.
Nothing new here, just more propaganda from willard and the right.
Mom, I don't believe you would recognize the truth about thr Obama campaign if it ran you over. Obama's campaingn can only attack at a personal level since there is no record to stand on.
Go pick on someone else, max, Your words hold no water with me! So stop trying to intimidate me. Obama has plenty of records to stand on. Unlike the lies that republicans tell and spread hoping they will be believed. No sale.
This is just another wrong way willardism.
The right wingets and teabags can't tell the truth. It's against their whole being!! With every underhanded, dirty trick they try to pull against Obama, they make themselves look more and more desperate! They lie at every turn and their boy Rmoney is always pulling his foot out of his mouth. Can't wait for the debates to see him fumble through... should be quite entertaining. :-)
Mad Max, you teabaggers have no idea what the truth is anymore. It's proven by the posts here every day. Your teabagger politicians and mouthpieces have fed you and the rest so much BS you can't distinguish it from the actual facts. It's amazing.
What facts, that we are in a booming economy as obama says?
That government is the smallest since eve had to listen to adam?
That obama isn't spending any money, and saving the country?
Then yes we tea baggers are not getting the facts.
Now explain how the federal government not having the power to tell you you can't have an abortion is bad? How them not having the power to tell you that you can't can't work is bad? That they can't make up laws and then jail you for breaking them is bad?
Compared to the GWB economy Obama's economy is booming, we are not losing 700,000 jobs a month.
Slankbrain, show proof where the president said the economy was 'Booming'
Fact- The goverment is smaller since Nixon. Prove it wrong
Who said Obama wasn't spending money..be specific
See post 3.7 above
You 'intellectuals' can't comprehend the truth.
Well bush / pelsoi economy was loosing that many jobs a month, just as obama / pelosi was doing the same. Are you seeing a pattern to where the problem is.
When the white house rubber stamps an idiot we get big problems. When it shuts down we get surpluses.
"Private sector is doing fine" teleprompter of the us ran out of praise and der fuhrer had to wing it.
Nixon spent what $600 Billion a year. Obama blows that much in deficits alone in 3 months.
His overloards claim he is being economical and spending less than bush. In his first month he wasted more than bushes entire last year.
"I didn't know how bad it really was." He was a senator, he can read the budget he passed anytime he wants. He can stop bills that spend money. Just ask the rino's that do it to reid all the time.
I remember Bush/Gore 2000 Florida recount, Gore sent a legion of lawyers down to Florida to discount and disavow every possible military vote. It was disgusting to see the Gore campaign treat our military personal this way and undermine their right to vote.
Republicans are famous for their crooked elections. Bush was never elected. Just was satisfied to take the job any way he could cheat and lie to get it. They will go to any extreams to be elected. It is shameful.
Mom, you are so ate up with your own beliefs that if you saw the truth you wouldn't know it. The military should have special dispensation over othrs when it comes to voting. Obama is trying to minimize his future losses by insuring all military members don't get the chance. What a loser and scoundrel he and his campaign is.
A lot more right wing BS with no proof. From everything that I've seen and heard for that's last several months, it's the right wing, RED states surpressing the vote. And I'll take TM's word over you right wingers any day. She has back up everything she's said. You right winger have backed up NOTHING you've said.
Willard is desperate, he will throw anything against the wall to see if it will stick.

The Romney campaign doubled down on its opposition to an Obama campaign lawsuit over early voting rights in Ohio Sunday. After initially falsely accusing the Obama campaign of trying to keep members of the military from voting, the campaign on Sunday contended that Obama opposes special treatment for service members.
In a memo released Sunday afternoon, Katie Biber, general counsel for the Romney campaign, framed the lawsuit as the Obama campaign's attempt to deny service members any special treatment. "It is not only constitutional, but commendable that the Ohio legislature granted military voters and their families this accommodation," Biber wrote. "It is despicable for the Obama campaign to challenge Ohio's lawful decision."
But as TPM reported Saturday, the Obama campaign's lawsuit does not seek to limit service members' voting privileges. Instead, the goal is to restore those same privileges to all Ohio voters.
GOP lovers on this site need to go back to Faux News, where they can hang out with their lieing counterparts. Stroke each other's egos with the rhetoric and lies they are hooked on. What can we expect from them anyway? Bush crippled this country way beyond belief... almost put us in another depression, and all these idiots focus on is getting Obama out of office. This was their program BEFORE he was inaugurated. Don't tell me it's not racial!
Has anything ever come out of Mitt's mouth that wasn't a lie? Steve Benen is on week 28 (?) of chronicling Mitt's mendacity, and the lists are a real doozy.
Is it psychopathology? Or does he think the Big Lie will win him the election? Hard to fathom, though I suspect the former more than the latter. It's a tic he cannot control.
jjim, 6 I believe it is psychopathology with Romney. He strikes me as a pathological liar because he often lies when the truth would serve him as well or even better.
Republicans have made voting difficult for Democrats, especially minorities and the poor. Now they're using a page out of Karl Rove's playbook to turn Obama's words backwards. It's a despicable tactic.
They have no shame. They will lie, cheat, or steal to push their weak candidate forward. They've always been ruthless.
On the other hand, as to the tax situation, Harry Reid is NOT known to lie. I believe he has found some solid info on Mitt.
When haven't they turned President Obamas word around, took them out of contex, or just lied about what he said? I haven't seen or heard of it. Probably won't either.
It is hard for me to believe that Mitt Romney didn't a pay any taxes in the last ten years. You would think he would of been audited. I just don't know where the media and Harry Reid are going with this. I think if Harry Reid has some concrete evidence, he needs to turn it over to the IRS.
What about if Romney signed up for TAX Amnesty in 2009 for failing to Report his Swiss Bank Acct's, MY question is along with that, Could Romney have taken care of ANY other Tax issue at that Time????
Dream on audits are not for those with 250 million or more in hidden off shore tax havens where the IRS can not get information so they have to rely on the word of Mittens, the guy who has never spoken the truth since 1992.
Reid doesn't lie. Well then where is the budget he would be releasing soon?
isn't 3.5 years long enough to get one done?
Obama care will lower costs? only cost a trillion?
Where is the supeanas for holder to produce the gun running documents under bush?
Reid lies everytime he opens his mouth.
SargeGW: 2009 That would be Harry Reid in charge of senate, how is it he can stop all bills now but not when bush was in the white house. Would you prefer romney break the law? Then he would be the crook you accuse him of being.
I was very disappointed romney didn't show a chick-fil-a reciept with the tax at the bottom circled for harry to see on camera.
Poor tea bagged republicans know that Mittens will not release his taxes so now it is time to attack the messenger.
He has released his taxes, when is obama going to release anything?
If he had committed a crime holder would have been suing him till he was a pauper. Even facts won't stop holder, so there is only one conclusion, there was no crimes. If he paid no taxes then he owed no taxes. That is rangle, reid, obama and bushes fault not romney's. Romney has never written or voted for a federal tax law. That you are upset he would obey them says volumes.
Bush/Gore 2000 recount......Democratic lawyer Mark Herron authorizes a memo to Democrat canvassing personel to disavow as many military votes as possible.
India Have dirty harry reveal his source. It is probably a high white house souse.
That is a bogus lie and you know it! Remember one thing... those in the military rank higher in intelligence than 'you' on the street!
I know because I am retired military - Submarines, where only the top three percent are even considered for Submarine duty! The Military knows who has their back - not some twit looking for another war!
ROD, Think about the Standards that WE had to go through just in order to be in those types of Billets, SUB's Marines at Naval Wpn Station's and this Guy can't even release simple TAX form's !!!!!
Max. Have Romney release his tax returns and it will all be settled one way or the other. Until then, you just repeating the right wing BS with nothing to back it up. Prove harry is lying. Prove it. Well, then STFU
Larry go to the tax question see the first comment. If he cheated then the IRS would be all over him. He is following the law. Now what about the unemployment rate? That is the real issue.
Right except you don't know about tax havens where the IRS can't go, that is why the wealthy off shore their wealth and you don't.
LOL..What is this fixation with you moron teabaggers that we think Mutt cheated on his taxes?...How many times does it have to be explained to you 'Intellectuals' that we're betting that he paid NO taxes for ten years! And like I said before, americans will forgive a tax cheat, but not a multi millionaire that paid no taxes at all when the middle class pays theirs! Get it?, Got it?...Good!
Still think the infrastructure jobs bill wasn't paid for gotohell?...lol...You ppl crack me up!
We can all expect more of the same from Mitt-a lying TAX evader who wants to turn this country into of himself. That means forget about you ( the middle class and the poor) the rich rules. We are at war for a Government for and by the PEOPLE and a DICTATORSHIP of the rich.
Anyone that can add two and two and come up with four has a decided advantage over the Republicans and Mitt Romney. Those of us capable of doing the math know that this man has misused and abuse the very system he is saying doesn't support job creation.
We have but to look at the inactive on real issues that concern the country as enacted upon by the 112th Congress to surmise that if President Obama had the support of Congress as Bush had when he was tearing this country apart, we would be well into a successful recover from this depressive recession!
With that thought in mind... give Obama a Democratic Congress and watch the difference! Vote 'NO' to those who have given us the back of their hand at every opportunity to do so!
America said "NO" in a resounding way to President Obama's agenda in the 2010 congressional elections.
WRONG again.
See Mittens is the perfect candidate for tea bagged republicans, like Mittens they have never seen a lie they wouldn't repeat.
Now that the moderates that helped turn the tide of the 2010 elections realize they were lied to, I wouldn't count on them voting GOP this time around.
Rod, #8 You got it!
Tired of getting the finger from this group of economic terrorists!
On top of everything else, Mutt gave his endorsement to that teabagger Richard Mourdock. The guy that will not compromise. In fact he says his idea of bi-partisanship is the Dems doing what the Repubs want! He is a joke! They both are...he AND Mutt. Sometimes I feel like I've fallen off the Earth and landed in some strange parallel universe! I want to wake up and everything will be back to normal!!!
Wrong again MSNBC
The law suit clearly states the reason for it is because they argue it is unconstitutional to allow one group to vote early and not another. So your arguement is then if every one cant vote early then no one should. the reason the milatary is allowed to vote eary is because most is stationed elsewhere and should be allowed the extra time for that reason. Now you can try to spin it all you want but it boils down to the point Obama is trying to suppress the military vote because they have always voted Republican my far
Many states allow early voting for the military so you need to ask why did the pick Ohio to sue? why not any of the other states? Why because Ohio is a battle ground state and the military vote might just tip the scale in Romney's favor because the majority of the military votes Republican
this is a losing argument MSNBC the American public sees right through your spin other then your loyal koolaid drinking idiots who will believe anything you say. Democrats have a history of trying to suppress the military vote
One more time, military voters stationed away from the area of their legal residence vote by absentee ballot. Early voting only applies to people voting in person, in their own town.
And Ohio law states they are granted 3 extra days to cast their Absentee ballot
I wasn't quite clear in my terminology. Absentee ballots can be filled out and mailed as soon as they are received by the voter. They are held until election day and then counted. Early voting is a period of time prior to election day when people cast an absentee ballot in person (all early voting is done using absentee ballots as far as I know). Early voting has nothing to do with absentee ballots that are mailed in.
http://www.sos.state.oh.us/sos/elections/Voters/absentee/regAbsenteeVoters.aspx
The Obama Administration is doing the correct thing in fighting in court the reduction of at least four days of voting in Ohio. The GOP is conducting a widespread voter suppression campaign all across America wherever GOP governors or legislators are in power. Ohio is not just any state, its typically the one that determines who will be president. The 2004 election in Ohio was fraught with many problems. Election officials had problems compiling accurate voter lists resulting in around 135,000 provisional ballots having to be cast. Long lines in many voting precincts were reported because of not enough voting machines. Voters waiting in long lines for many hours made voting an exhausting experience especially in poor districts with predominantly working class and minority populations. So the Voters Rights Act of 1965 says clearly that state governments have a responsibility to provide fair, adequately resources, and convenient polling places so all citizens get a chance to vote. Ohio did not live up to this standard in 2004.
Here is a quote from a law professor who was commenting about the 2004 Ohio election: "In Ohio," said Edward B. Foley, who teaches election law at Ohio State University, "there is a cloud over the process, even though there is not a cloud over the result." While Bush won Ohio by a large enough margin that the result could not be questioned the whole entire management of the voting process was completely substandard and inadequate to accommodate the voting public in the state of Ohio in 2004.
Source: Adam Liptak. November 7, 2012. "Voting Problems in Ohio Set Off Alarm." NY Times. "www.nytimes.com/2004/11/07/politics/campaign/07elect.html"
All states need to immediately move towards a mail in ballot for general elections and primary elections. This would give voters at least two months to register, bet their ballot and send it in to the election officials. Colorado, Oregon, and Washington have mail in ballots that work with few problems with fraud. States could have limited polls kept open on election day with same day registration to accommodate the stray voters who need to vote. The mail in system saves all the hassles and problems of racing down to the polls after work and waiting in line. Mail in ballots are the only way to go. States that have mail in ballots have reported very reliable elections. Why not make a federal law modeled on Oregon's successful mail in balloting and be just be done with it? The waiting in line to vote would be a thing of the past that no one will miss in their busy lives. Its also virtually impossible to suppress the vote when mail in ballots are used because of the long voting times and wider registration times voters have so the results are better. Need a recount? You have paper records for a recount should that be done. Voting by mail is the only way to go and this should be immediately be put in place for all 50 states and territories in the U.S.
Still you and Obama is using a very childish argument
Obama and you are stateing if evryone cant vote early then no one should be allowed to do so
The same argument he is using with his tax increase saying if you don't raise the taxes on people making over 250,000 then i will raise taxes on every one
No, the purpose of the suit is to ensure all voters are to be treated equally. Since there's no valid reason for military personnel and their families to have extra time to deliver their ballots in person, it's up to the State of Ohio to determine the period of time for early voting for all of the state's citizens.
You know how those nutty teabaggers are, they have a spin cycle that beats a maytag.
Fella's do not waste your time some people will see or make up what they wish
Reality is not in the tea party logic.
Fact is this is not about giving military early voting they already have and don't need it's about taking away those same rights for others. This idiot ohio law gives these military individuals early voting exemptions while taking them from others thus to stop that from happening they would get rid of the whole law. Thus they would remove both provisions, it's not a choice specifically so no one wants to take early voting from veterans. What people want is to give those rights back to others.
But it is ok to change ballots in the middle of an election if your guy is loosing you replace him claiming you can't allow the other guy to win that would not allow the voters to have the last word.
Why doesn't obama just tell the people of ohio if they forget to vote on friday join the military saturday and they have till monday to vote. Once he wins he can discharge them.
Military is already treated differently, they cannot campaign, write books, or tell the truth about their "commander".
Obama's leading in Ohio Einstien...Damn your're a confused man!
Then why does he have a problem with people voting there?
If the people want him, then letting them vote won't change anything.
I have a vested interest in him winning. It means I get my machine gun.
But I won't vote for a sob, my vote means something. Lieing scumbag may be good enough for ohio, and like the idiots who voted for saddam, I won't loose any sleep when you get what you deserve.
He just wants to make sure that everyone votes following the same rules.
You lie TRFjr... just like the GOPteanuts!!!!!! No voter fraud around, only the underhanded plans by the right wing crazies to steal the vote as they did with that a..hole Bush! Please don't think your BS is the truth or that we on here accept it as the truth. Go back to your buddies at Faux News!
I am glad you admit that the 500K votes not counted in wisconsin was all bull. There was no fraud.
Poor slacker just has to brag that the Koch brothers bought an election but notice how slacker leaves out that Walker lost his rubber stamp congress.
I don't see how, his laws were being passed by way more than just the republicans or they couldn't have been enacted immediately. But what does the number of people in a chamber have to do with admitting an honest election without fraud.
And now the voter ID will be in effect as well to keep any fraud out.
When the results are fair why would you mind who wins?
Liptak's article was in November 7, 2004, my typo.
I love the way Mitty's podium says Putting Jobs First. Boy, there's another lie. Repubs have NEVER put jobs first. And they're not going to start now. Even if, God forbid, Rawmoney got elected, they still won't care about jobs!
Well thats not true, republicans always put their jobs first, just they could care less about your job.
Romney promoted the "DRAFT" then bugged out for extended time in France, then came back and sided with his father - AGAINST the VIET NAM WAR. I am with Military people who are agains Romney for anything. Young people now do not know about the seriousness of the draft.

My issue is that Ohio has a long history of less than stellar voter access and electoral/voting process that was very inconvenient for the public. The biggest inconvenience seems to be amongst groups that vote Democratic. Voters should not have to stand in line for four to six hours to vote. Governor Kasich wants to suppress the time voters in Ohio have to vote like happened in 2004 in Ohio. The 2008 vote in Ohio actually was run reasonably well because of the extended voting times. The politicians in both parties should be about giving long lead times for voters. Mail in voting is the way to go. Oregon makes mail in ballets work quite well as does Washington. Colorado also had mail in ballots. Governor Kasich and the Ohio GOP should be about promoting democracy and making sure all citizens in Ohio get a chance to vote.
It is sad that the Obama administration is forced to file a federal lawsuit to make Governor Kasich do his job. Regardless of ideology or party affiliation, our country is stronger when as many voters as possible get as long as possible to exercise their right to vote. Voter suppression hurts out country and this is what the GOP has done all across America. I think it is disgraceful for the GOP to try and suppress voter rights with "Voter ID" laws and other new forms of poll taxes. Voter ID laws or narrowing the extended days of polling in Ohio are just different forms of GOP voter suppression. When you try and suppress the vote you know your brand of political dog food is growing stale with voters, especially minorities, independent women, college students, and Seniors, many of the people in these groups do not drive cars nor do they have the funds available for birth certificate fees, marriage licenses, etc or the means to travel to the limited offices to get those state issued ID's. Can you say "poll tax?"
They have no problem standing in line that long to lie about their paycheck and get a government handout. If it takes 6 hours to vote, you can either get their early and vote first, stand in line and report the criminals violating the campaign rules, or go home and watch the results on tv. You have no right to vote no matter what. You should have holder stop obstructing the voting places that can being opened.
But don't forget your ID, I would feel bad for you if you are too dumb to fill out a provisional ballot and decide to go home and get it and return to a closed polling place.
Right then there is reality why don't you leave Reagan bull@!$%# land and get into reality. Really Reagans welfare lie is old and worn out as well as being untrue because Newt and the GOP killed welfare that Reagan was lying about.
Notice from the right wingers that you will never here a rational argument against mail in voting. Mail in voting works very well through either the post office or you can simply drop your ballot off at a local city or county office branch while on your way to work or errands at your convenience. Fraud cases are virtually nil for mail in ballots because the registration process and resident rosters allow accurate mailing of ballots to residents. New residents have to report their addresses with local city or county officials. Mail in voting is the smart way to deal with the voting problems in Ohio. So when the Republicans whine, moan, bitch, and complain about ginned up "voter fraud" the perfect cost effective answer is voting by mail. We need to save the Post Office first in order to make this a viable reality. This stuff is not rocket science, we can save the USPS and have nation wide mail in ballots. Anyone who is opposed to voting by mail needs to examine the states of Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. What I don't understand is why all 50 states don't just immediately go with the simple, efficient, tried and true mail in ballot?
Because the GOP can't tamper with the vote with their purges of the rolls and their voter ID nonsense. Funny how the tea bagged republicans always seem to not understand that to vote one has to register if they don't register they don't vote. So that shows all their big talk they are not voters.
I have a rational argument against it. Watched those holder people selling their mail in ballots for $40 and bragging on tv about it.
While I have no problem with free enterprise and making a buck, submitting that ballot would be a crime and we need a way to prosecute the person who did that. You only get one vote, if you buy 50 ballots you still can only vote once.
It shows Romney is desperate, trying to get the focus off of himself on the subject of those tax forms, he's grasping for straws in a windstorm Haaahaaha .
Does Romney tell the truth retroactively?
Well that is more than we wil ever get out of obama.
So what part of the $1.4 Trillion deficit is because of romney paying the taxes he owed?
Mitt - Sometimes it is better to be thought of as a fool, then to open your mouth and remove ALL doubt.
Put Up or Shut Up is a clear way to clear the air and remove doubt about what you seem to be hiding from the American people. If we expect others to show at least 7 years of TAX RETURNS, the Presidency should be at least that amount. I don't care how many John McCain showed in 2008 - we took his military record as the reason we trusted him with 2 years of TAX RETURNS. If you can convince the American people you don't have anything to hide you MUST show as many TAX RETURNS as the people you, as Commander in Chief when you appoint cabinet members for security reasons. One year of tax returns is no where near the number to convince US to TRUST you, sorry Mitt you have to prove your trustworthiness, don't revert to your expertise of being a BULLY, you were very good at it in HS, remember.
