Fun fact just pointed out by Rachel Maddow: The man Republicans are about to nominate for president isn't just rich. He's richer than the combined peak lifetime wealth of the previous eight presidents—Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, and Obama—times two.
Romney's fortune is estimated at around $250 million.
Just so you know.

Gov Romney no more tax returns reason ur vesture selfishness must remain hidden sound familiar Ryan
Please tell me why people are so threatened by success? Isn't it better that he is successful than just some schmo off the street who has never had any experience in business whatsoever and has never had success on his own? Would we feel better if he was actually a failure at business? Aren't we all striving for that same success? There are way more important issues right now than how much money Mitt Romney makes! Give me a break msnbc, we aren't stupid! We all see that you are grasping at straws! Can you be a responsible news organization and talk about policies!
I think that the proplem (really, the only one) is that his wealth came from venture capitalism. This is making money only through pure capital manipulation. We remember all of the companies, while we were growing up, which had their pension funds sucked out and the resulting disaster that befell employees and their dependents. It is one thing to be a manufacturer, retailer, inventor, all of which Romney did some of, but the core of the profits came from fees and manipulation.
Capital manipulation? Ha, sounds like the last several years of Obama's time in office.
Based off of the information provided, I would much rather have Mitt run the country, thatn any of the other people listed. Think about it, a successful person running the country, vs, what we have now! Hmmmmmmm. it's a hard decision. I pick the successful person.
