Each political party's nominating convention serves to promote its candidate for president, and history shows that all the speeches, balloons, and morale boosting really do work.
Republican nominees for president historically see a five point improvement in national polling, while Democrats average six points (inched up by an usual 16-point bounce from Bill Clinton in 1992's race that included third-party candidate Ross Perot), according to Frank Newport, editor-in-chief of the Gallup Poll, who appeared on Jansing & Co. Friday.
Newport said to look for any "bounce" in Romney's performance to show up this weekend once the entirety of the Republican convention, which ended Thursday night, sinks in.
Democrats, though, will have a chance to offset any jump in the polls by Romney with their own convention that kicks off Tuesday, September 3.
The poll taken during the week after both party conventions have finished will be the more important one to track, Newport added. It "will really let us see has the race been fundamentally reset?... that sets the stage for the next phase through October 3 [the day of the first presidential race debate]."
A post-convention improvement by either Romney or Obama does not guarantee success, of course.
"Getting the bounce helps set the stage, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that person is going to win," said Newport.

I don't know about a poll bounce for the GOP after perhaps the most boring Republican infomercial of all time. Who's kidding who? What I see is a lot of corporate media folks trying to spin GOP-poop into delectable, delicious, mouth watering gourmet cotton candy, corporate style. I'm not a gourmet. The GOP is a lie machine. The Republican party is an evolving corporate sham. It's fake. It's not real. It's a public relations campaign with no anchor to truth. That's reality.
Obama is what Romney is pretending to be. He's real. Romney is synthetic. Politi-media will weave a synthetic and capricious tale of the GOP con-vention.. Media will duck and dodge, to the best of their corporate abilities. The Romney/GOP campaign is smoke and mirrors. It's fake. It's full of lies and distortion. It's synthetic. That's reality. Thanks to all the good media folks who this week took time to point out some of the GOP fake reality talking points. Thanks to MSNBC's media folks who lift their heads from their own corporate politi-image sculpturing, and pay attention to actual reality. MSNBC creates it's own gravity field. Gobama!
Romney no, Obama yes:
In my opinion, I would say mission not accomplished. The RNC convention was full of hate and Obama bashing with no vision for the American people on specific policies. This is a disservice to the American people. Romney/Ryan has not put forth specific policies in order for the American people to make proper judgment. Romney/Ryan has been telling the American people that they have the courage and willingness to make hard choices. Well, Romney/Ryan has not addressed any hard choices to the American people. Romney/Ryan continues to lie about the president welfare work requirement, lie about Medicare, and lie about increasing taxes on the middle class. In addition, Romney makes this claim that he will create 12 million jobs. Well, the economist predicts there will be 12 million jobs created within the next four years regardless who is president. So, Romney’s claim of creating jobs is bogus. Romney wants to be president and would like the peoples vote but yet he refuses to show his tax returns. In addition, their campaign has been virtually built on lies.
It was very apparent that Romney/Ryan was making a strong push to change Romney’s image for the women’s vote. The problem is that Romney has been running for president for almost a decade. This is the first that Romney has made an attempt to draw people into his personal life. In my opinion, after listening to Romney for almost a decade it is a little bit late in the day. Romney/Ryan has lied so much I will not risk my economic and financial future by voting for this man. It is too risky and Romney cannot be trusted. Romney/Ryan has had many faces. There is a saying in that fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on you, fool me three times shame on me. I will admit learning about his family was nice but that is not enough for a person to be president of this country.
Romney methods used to campaign for the election by in adversely accepting the tone of racism or engaging with individuals that clearly denies a person citizenship, religion, ethnic background, patriotic responsibility to the United States of America is not fit to be President of the United States. It is not the type of leadership for the American people. The presidency is to bring all people together for the common goal of a prosper America. Romney/Ryan went too far in bashing President Obama. They gave it their best shot in trying to get the American people to dislike Obama. They went overboard. It would be my opinion this will backfire on Romney, especially when Romney has no specific plans on how he would govern. As well as, the American people have a very good idea of president Obama’s character. Obama is a wonderful family man. He is well respected, eloquent, professional, intelligent, fun, funny, and well articulate. Therefore, I do not believe Romney will be able to change Americas mind about Obama’s character since they have known Obama for the last four years.
Lastly, it was very frightening the way Romney spoke of Russian President Putin. It was very insulting. This is not the time for another cold war. Romney, spoke as though America will go to war with Iran as well. This is scary. The American people are sick of wars. If Romney wants a war he can send his five sons’. Lastly, Clint Eastwood, this was very sad. It made me cry. Mr. Eastwood is a wonderful actor. However, it is also disgraceful for Eastwood to antagonize Obama, the President of the United State in such a disrespectful manner that is being shown on television to more than 20 million viewers. Romney, you once said that each campaign should be responsible for the remarks that they make. Therefore, Romney, you should take responsibility for Mr. Eastwood actions and not blow it off as though it was nothing.
It is my opinion; Romney is not fit to govern the United States of America. America needs a president that is honest, rule with integrity, professional, eloquent, Kind, caring, and that is Obama/Biden.

When I was in the police dept, and cought someone, commiting a crime, the first thing thay would say is " it wasn't me" ! now the repo's are saying the same. BUSH, sent us to wars that could have been avoided, He caused the crash in 2008, and now the repo's want us to believe them again.

The worst marketing campaign ever. A first year marketing student would have not produced a project like that. These polls are nothing more than hype funded by the Republicans. These people are nothing more than LIARS according to the WORD just like their father (satan) who was a liar from the beginning.
