President Obama's latest video promoting the upcoming Democratic National Convention suggests that the president is testing out pandering to the all-important pothead vote.
Even after watching how Clint Eastwood's on-stage meltdown distracted from Mitt Romney's big night at the Republican National Convention, the president seems unafraid in shoring up some Hollywood buzz for the DNC. The video—released Monday—announces the celebrity guest-host of convention coverage by depicting the president making an appeal with a personal phone call.
“Hey this is Barack. Listen, I need to know if you’re on board.”
Cue inspirational, moment-building music.
“Ok good. Because I’m counting on you. Everybody is. We have to get this right, so there’s a lot at stake here. Just remember I’m trusting you on this - I’ll see you there.”
Now this is no 3 a.m. phone call from Hillary Clinton. Change scenes to find actor Kal Penn hanging up his phone while sitting on a couch next to John Cho, his co-star in the cult stoner classic "Harold & Kumar" films. Next to them lay the remains of a pothead's munchy paradise - half-eaten pizza, chips, and liters of soda.
“Who’s that? Sounded intense,” Cho asks.
“The president.”
“Sweet.”
Now compare the image Penn and Cho pointing and laughing at cartoon bells and whistles on their television to that of 82-year-old Eastwood ranting at an empty chair to get a sense of what type of crowds each candidate is courting.
Just got off the phone with the President. It was pretty intense: ofa.bo/edKoRY

And that is supposed to compensate for the loss of ObamaGirl who is endorsing Romney this time around out of extreme disappointment for her "Hope and Change" crush of 4 years ago for re-motivating the youth vote? Good luck with that!
Ah, we knew the Obama girl was the fickle sort. Fortunately, along came Sandra Fluke...
And Grandpa says stuff like this, insists he doesn't have any women-hating issues, and brags about his own tom cat stuff from time to time...
This was the "double standard" the ladies--and enlightened men--fought against in the 60's and 70's...
For her obsessive love of contraceptions, it's just a matter of time before we have a Sandra Fluke sex tape scandal.
I thought it would be much better for young women if Sandra Fluke shut her mouth and closed her legs myself. The Dems are sexually objectifying women with their accent on their free from co-pay oral contraceptives, surgical sterilization procedures, and abortions in their Washington, DC designed mandated health insurance policies, paid for with subsidies from the Federal Government with tax dollars, in violation of the Henry Hyde ammendment to the appropriations rules that specifies no federal dollars will be appropriated for financial support of abortion.
Appears that women are actually more concerned with the state of the economy, their own job hopes and their husband's and their children's job hopes, and the worsening national debt as the Obama runaway deficit spending goes on, and on, and on...laying that burden on their children and grandchildren.
Keith Longey...deleted???
Were you trying to be an old senile bad-ass, Willard?
Congrats...seems like you succeeded.
I wonder who the first in line to buy it will be...Rush Limbaugh or Keith?
Kathleen Sebilius just spoke at the convention.
And for once, being a woman is not a pre-existing condition...
Man, those Democrats are swinging wicked one-liners this year...

ISM figures are in for August, and the slide downward continues in this much ballyhooded manufacturing area that Obama and the Dems think THEY were reviving. And do I mean down...lowest measure of Manufacturing activity in over 3 years.
And Construction is down to according to the July figures realeased this morning.
All this bodes badly for the Employment figures for August and revision for July due out Friday AM, right after the Obama people try to make a case for further progress (NOT) in turning around the economy, supposedly two years+ after the end of the 2007-2009 recession, And that 4.5 million jobs they have been claiming were added to the economy due to obama's policies?, NOT materializing according to the July 2012 Bureau of Labor Statistics newly released data, that shows nearly identical total enployment, 142.099 million in Jan, 2009, and 142.220 only in Jul, 2012. And the Unemployed? 11.616 million in Jan, 2009, and 12.794 million in Jul, 2012.
Are we better off today than you were in Jan, 2009 when Obama took office?. Well, you do the math. Not according to the economic and employment statistics.
Cutting awful close to Doogie Howser's transition, facilitating the western world's worst slave trade through two tier torture deaths for the poor, replaced by slaves who are criminalized if they come forward...in Ottawa Canada - where Ceausescu is now the reigning boy scout Caligula
That said - nothing beats Harold and Kumar in Gitmo.

$16 trillion....... $5.4 trillion new Obama debt...... thank you Obama.......
$6 Trillion by Jan 1st, 2013 guaranteed. Especially as all stops will come out to get as much moola by hook or by crook into the economy as possible before the election. Seems that the Social Security Department just found the funds to make a purcase of 174,000 rounds of .357 Magnum hollowpoint ammunition. Yes, the Social Security Admiinistration; and that is just on thin slice of the tip of the iceberg of debt financed spending to come in the next two months.
I am sorry but does Michael Steele stand behind a door or in a tunnel before he comes on the AIR? His comments so many times have nothing to do with reality. Send him over to Fox News. I think then his thoughts will make sense or nonesense. But over there it doesn't matter.
But it is funny when he agrees with the liberal commentators...he sometimes has no choice as the R's have usually done something incredibly stupid again.
Like his agreement that the Romney/Ryan camp were lying about the $716B allegedly "stolen" from Medicare, the alleged removal of the Welfare for Work provision, their stance on women's health issues, their backtracking on their positions about Medicare, McConnell's statement about his #1 "priority", etc.
Say what you will about Michael Steele, he now easily recognizes when the Republicans are struggling to push the boulder (their agenda) uphill, and he doesn't seem to be afraid to say so anymore.
Some, like Keith, probably consider him to be a RINO now. They just don't like pragmatic people....especially if they're Republican.
If Michael Steele is appearing on MSNBC's shows, Louise, his hair got messed up not from standing in a tunnel, but from going down the rabbit hole as he enters Alices's Wonderland where up is down, and down is up, and black is white, and white is back, etc, etc. etc.
That "Wonderland" you speak of Keith sounds very much like your home life...in the basement. You really have to go through a rabbit hole...no stairs?
But then, only someone like you would consider that a "wonderland".
