Joe Biden introduced President Obama with a powerful testimonial to the President's accomplishments and his character.
Speaking from the "ringside seat" he has occupied during Obama's four years in office, Biden focused on a personal perspective of the President, calling him by his first name throughout the speech.
"Barack Obama is our President because he always has the courage to make tough decisions," the Vice President said to a cheering crowd.
After the speech, MSNBC's Chris Matthews observed that Biden's "loyalty to the President couldn't have been more on display tonight."
While the majority of the speech focused on Obama's accomplishments, especially the bailout of the automotive industry, Biden didn't hold back from lashing out at Romney in his characteristically conversational way.
"Folks, the Bain way may bring you firm the highest profit," he said, referring to Romney's tenure as the head of private equity firm Bain Capital. "But it's not the way to lead your country from its highest office."
He also joked that Romney's much self-touted jobs tour would "have to be a foreign trip" because of "all his support for outsourcing."

I just adore the true class and the utmost standards, of ethics, shown by our Vice President. I'll take all of his "gaffs" so long as they also come with his passion and commitment, to the United States.
Mr. Vice President -- Beautiful Speech and Heartfelt Expressions --- FORWARD WE WILL GO ......
Same here, Fred. Joe Biden is a wonderful human being and under-appreciated.

Great speeches for this convention......I think it is going to come down to this...
The past 29 months have seen job growth...small but some growth....is it the fact that Congress has not let Obama's policies pass or is it something that Obama has done that has brought these jobs?
By the way did he say that Russia was our number one ally? Maybe I didn't hear that correctly.
Gabby was awesome....What a strong lady...what a recovery....God Bless You Gabby
Joe stated Robme said 'Russia was our no.1 enemy' And he watched Rocky 4 too many times.
John...I hear what you are saying....but I think Obama said something about insulting our number 1 ally.....Russia...not sure...I need to watch it again.....
Romney made another mistake by stoking the fire of the Russians....
The #1 ally he refered to was England, not Russia. It was in reference to the comments Romney made when he was in England for the Olympics.
Thanks Kdeeee....for the clarification....TAP
Hard to keep each and every stupid thing Romney says separate, isn't it?
I like Joe Biden's speech the best tonight because I really think he connected to the audience. Joe Biden has been a great public servant. I am glad he wants to be VP for another four years. I am glad he is there to counsel the President on foreign policy with his 30 years in the Senate Foreign Relations committee. I also appreciate Dr. Jill Biden's selfless work of making sure that military families get the recognition and help that they need.
I heard in a news story several years ago from an Army General's wife who was interviewed that Michelle Obama and Jill Biden talked to the officer's wives at an Army post where soldiers were serving overseas. The officer's wives complained about the families of the soldiers under their husband's commands who were having problems with "payday" lenders and others unscrupulous lenders who ripoff and who prey on soldier's families in military towns. Jill Biden and Michelle Obama heard about this and got more regulations in the Frank-Dodd bill that actually are cracking down on many of these abuses of those that seek to prey on soldier's families who often end up in financial hardship over long deployments. This example is one of the countless ways these two women help military wives and their spouses
We are dealing with good people in the White House who care about service members and their families. Michelle and Jill have been angels to military families of those who serve. We all need to be grateful for their tireless efforts at visiting and talking with the families of wounded veterans in hospitals. They also visit gold star families who have lost husbands, fathers, brothers, and sometimes mothers or wives in combat overseas. Michelle and Jill have empathy towards military families. They play a big role in the beefing up of veterans health care and education services for soldiers, veterans, and their families. These women form networks with the wives of high ranking officers from all the services. These networks are invaluable informal communication lines to let the VP and the President know about problems for veterans and their families. I have heard nothing but good reports from the wives of high ranking officers about what Michelle and Jill have done for our returning veterans and their families of all the services and the Guard and Reserve. We need to keep Obama/Biden in the White House for four more years because it means Michelle and Jill will be there to help returning veterans when they make the difficult transition home after a decade of brutal combat service.
With all of the hype and half-truths on both sides there are only two things that really matter in the years ahead- jobs and the economy. Until I see that Obama really wants and can deliver us out of the current state- he has to go. Not that all of the wives and good people talk isn't important-- it's good to know they are good people. But if they can't lead us out of the mess they inherited what other choices do we have but to try something different. Joe Biden is a good man. No question about it. But as president he would be a disaster. So when the ballot is in front of me --- who do I believe? I really think Mitt Romney can get our economy going again. He knows how business thinks.
And business thinks about profits. Not people. And that was one of the points Obama made. Romney may be a good businessman. But he can't be a president.
So many of you just don't know. Mormons are considered the chosen people in their beliefs. Old Joe Smith is laughing out loud. They were chased out of Nauvoo, Illinois, Chased out of Missouri, chased out of Mexico. They were forced to give up multiple wives by Pres. Taft. Now they are prepared to take over the U.S. leadership. They believe they are Sons of Ephraim...a lost tribe of Israel that found their way to North America. They only take care of their own. They believe the rest of you to be Gentiles, not worthy of the Celestial Kingdom (Heaven). Their beliefs are based on the Old Testament and teachings of Joe Smith/Brigham Young and their descendants. They believe there is nothing wrong with charging all of us Gentiles and Pagans with usury. I cannot believe that almost half of America has come to back a Mormon Priest for our leader. Why not the Pope? Of course they are all good family people...it is only they that count in their belief, and anyone else they can convert with their missionaries all over the world. They are "NOT" Latter day Saints of Jesus Christ! They are a cult of Nephite's here to convert you Lamanites. Of course the are good at making money off Gentiles. That money is for their church and their tax free Temples all over America and the world. Along with tax free money earned from all of their businesses, cattle ranchs' and farms... But what do you Gentiles get out of it?
