In this Friday May 25, 2012, photo provided by Parkwood Entertainment, Beyonce performs at Revel in Atlantic City, N.J., for the resort's premiere.
"I don't usually email you," begins the email from performer Beyonce Knowles sent on behalf of the Obama campaign. The singer who is married to hip-hop mogul Jay-Z will host a September 18 fundraiser for the president in New York with a $40,000 ticket price, the New York Post reports.
Supporters of the president's re-election, though, are encouraged by the star to make a smaller donation for the chance to win a seat at the event along with airfare and hotel—a now ubiquitous fundraising tool used by both presidential candidates.
Previous celebrities who have hosted fundraisers for Obama include actress Sarah Jessica Parker and actor George Clooney.
Knowles' full email appears after the jump.
I usually don't email you -- but I have an amazing invitation I have to share.
Jay and I will be meeting up with President Obama for an evening in NYC sometime soon. And we want you to be there!
I've had the honor of meeting President Obama and the First Lady a few times -- and believe me -- it's an opportunity you don't want to miss.
Don't worry about the airfare and hotel, it's taken care of. And you can bring a guest.
But the countdown is on -- this opportunity ends at midnight:

Can't wait to meet you!

With President Obama, We all will benefit.
Yes, with President Obama, ALL of the people of this country with benefit. I pray for those who hate, for those who are racists/bigots, for those who rather see this country destroyed because of their greed. We are in this together!
Hey Beyonce, you and your hubby Jay-Z doing a wonderful job of fund raising for a worthy cause. Obama's win is a must for America. Keep up the good work. God Bless.
