Mitt Romney is receiving all kinds of flack for his now-infamous 47% comments. But could they hurt his running mate too?
Rob Zerban, Paul Ryan's Democratic challenger for his Wisconsin House seat, told Ed Schultz Wednesday that Badger State voters are "quite resentful" over the remarks, which were surreptitiously recorded at a Romney fundraiser and posted online Monday by the liberal magazine Mother Jones.
Zerban said the comments echoed Ryan's own much-debunked assertions at last month's Republican National Convention that President Obama had gone back on a promise to keep open a Janesville GM plant . Ex-Janesville plant employees told Schultz after that speech that Ryan "ought to be ashamed of himself" for the claim.
Despite Ryan's presence on the national ticket, he's spending $2 million in ads against Zerban—a sign the 7-term incumbent may actually be worried.
Zerban, who currently trails by around 8 points, said he himself benefited from "government cheese" as a young kid and is living proof of the American dream.
After taking advantage of Pell grants and Stanford loans—students, of course, account for a good share of the 47% Romney was talking about—the Democrat started two businesses of his own that employ 45 people.
"I was one of those job creators the Republicans like to talk about," Zerban said, despite his humble beginnings. "The American dream shouldn't just be reserved for people who are wealthy and well-connected."

I'm just so disappointed in msnbc. I don't think I've ever seen a positive post regarding a Republican by this agency.....ever. Yet, you tout the liberals numerous times per day, consistently everyday.
Why? Why are you so blatantly biased? There isn't even the most base attempt to show a modicum of neutrality.
I really find it hard to endure your reports any longer.
First of all a republican would have to do something "good" to get a positive rating or comment....Need I say more?
Apparently you're incapable of "more"....you're thought process is constipated.
Run along little troll! Go back to Faux where they praise Republican'ts all day long! I've seen plenty of posts from MSNBC that have been fair to the Republican party, I can't say the same about Faux NotNews!
Cynthia - You are obviously new here. Don't try to have an intelligent debate with the liberals on this site! If you are not part of their groupthink they will attack you, call you names, distort what you have said etc. As you have experienced from Ifor1!
MSNBC is a very liberal network. It is not news but a propaganda site to promote the liberal agenda and get Obama reelected by any means necessary. Fox News at least attempts to be fair.
Sorry you had to learn the hard way.
Well cynthia you have proven you are no independent but a full bloodied republican and a poor liar...
I used to be in the Republican fold, but twenty years ago started paying close attention to what they where saying. I found that the only stated beliefs of the republican that where of benefit to the nation as a whole had to be brought into existence by the democrats and independents... almost always over the strenuous objections and blocking by the GOP.
They did not then or currently believe in most of what they are saying to the american public. At least they really did not want to see it become law.
Since that time the lies from the GOP to anyone outside of the closed rooms have become more and more evident. Now almost anything they say is based only in their minds. The rest of us who actually check out what they say find it incredulous that they lie so blatantly and directly to our faces.
They no longer represent 98% of the American people or for that matter 95% of those who think they are Republican.
The only thing they are willing to do for us is take our vote and take our money in any way they can.
Do you not find it offensive that the only good republican politicians have either left politics or have been turned into a caricature of a caring human being?
Just saw Joe Scarborough on Jay Leno and this is the exact thing I have been talking about. God, do I agree with this man on so much (and disagree also on many items) but for him to be in congress now as a republican he would have to sell his soul to more devils than there have been gods throughout recorded history.
sullyman2112
I question your Premise on FOX and MSNBC.
The thing that MSNBC does best is fact check FOX so that there is some fair and balanced.
I quite enjoy TRM for if she makes an error it is immediately corrected at first opportunity and this is not often. If FOX did this they would require two additional channels and triple the staff.
The only times I ever saw true fair and balanced on Fox requires a Bill Clinton or Jesse Ventura and when they go on they virtually shut down the network. P.S. I think they got a thank you card never to return. They cannot stand fare and balance or worse yet the absolute truth being injected into their propaganda stream to their listeners.
@Cynthia Nagel, RE: Comment #1,
@Cynthia, if you watched The Tonight Show (w/ Jay Leno) just a few hours after you posted your complaint (#1), you would have seen Jay asking Joe Scarborough (host of Morning Joe on msnbc & past member of the House of Representatives for the state of Florida as a Republican) whether he considered himself a Conservative or Republican first, and what he thought about the difference. Not even Joe Scarborough had much good to say about the Republicans, because they refuse to work with President Obama on bipartisan solutions for the good of the Country. (Several past elected officials, who were elected as Republicans, have complained "I didn't leave the Party; it left me!")
If not even Conservative Joe Scarborough, still registered as a Republican, has much good to say about his Party, only about specific members such as Gov. Christie who manages to be productive working with a Democratic Legislature, or past Florida Governor Jeb Christie, who believes that if Ronald Reagan could run for the Presidential nomination now, that most Republicans would consider Reagan to be too liberal (a Rino), even though most Republicans in (or running for) office worship Reagan as if he were somehow sacred.
@Cynthia, if you haven't already done so, try watching Morning Joe (on msnbc from 7:00am - 10:00 ET for 3 hours). You should see him compliment some Republicans while castigating others. [I'm personally Center-Left and have always voted for the person, not the Party, my biggest problem with politics is the Primary Process, which is done for the benefit of the status quo - the benefit of the Republican and Democratic Parties, not for America, given that the Primary process has a tendency of eliminating the best candidates, either because they aren't Liberal enough or Conservative enough; although just being Conservative usually isn't good enough for the GOP anymore: Starting with 2010, GOP candidates usually need TEA Party approval too. In either case, the primaries are dominated by the Party extremists (far left or far right), which tends to eliminate the Moderate candidates of both Parties - not only for President, but for Congress, Governors, and the State Legislatures too. Given that the majority of Americans are Moderates (between Center-Left and Center-Right). Is it any wonder that most of us usually don't vote for a candidate, but for the "lesser of two evils," the one who is the least annoying.]
"m just so disappointed in msnbc. I don't think I've ever seen a positive post regarding a Republican by this agency"
LOL guess you dont watch Morning Joe?
"Apparently you're incapable of "more"....you're thought process is constipated."
LOL some more great a re-reg.
seems to have a case of constipation on the brain, but diarrhea of the lips (smiles this case finger tips)
good for a morning laugh over coffee
Can't be every where at once, Pilot......
off subject: just saw this (on msnbc of course) What kind of stupidity are we dealing with?

PARIS (Reuters) - A French magazine ridiculed the Prophet Mohammad on Wednesday by portraying him naked in cartoons, threatening to fuel the anger of Muslims around the world who are already incensed by a film depiction of him as a lecherous fool.
The drawings in satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo risked exacerbating a crisis that has seen the storming of U.S. and other Western embassies, the killing of the U.S. ambassador to Libya and a deadly suicide bombing in Afghanistan.
Riot police were deployed to protect the magazine's Paris offices after it hit the news stands with a cover showing an Orthodox Jew pushing the turbaned figure of Mohammad in a wheelchair.
On the inside pages, several caricatures of the Prophet showed him naked. One, entitled "Mohammad: a star is born", depicted a bearded figure crouching over to display his buttocks and genitals.
The French government, which had urged the weekly not to print the cartoons, said it was temporarily shutting down premises including embassies and schools in 20 countries on Friday, when protests sometimes break out after Muslim prayers.
Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Elaraby called the drawings provocative and outrageous but said those who were offended by them should "use peaceful means to express their firm rejection".
Tunisia's governing Islamist party, Ennahda, condemned the cartoons as an act of "aggression" against Mohammad. It urged Muslims, in responding to it, to avoid falling into a trap designed by "suspicious parties to derail the Arab Spring and turn it into a conflict with the West".
You have to laugh at them they come on Ed's blog to whine about Ed and MSNBC yet in their minds they believe Fox news fake outrage is telling them the truth because they repeat the same lies that the GOP repeat.
I can barely stand to listen to the Fox people make fun of the present administration Their talking points are so untrue as to be ignorant. They keep saying this admin has done nothing, when in effect the GOP have held the Congress hostage. Prime example the Veterans Jobs bill that they just defeated yesterday. They all just cater to the ultra conservatives.
dcn......News Flash. Congress and the Administration was 100% controlled by Democrats for two years. They had thier chance. You must have missed it, or EDD forgot to tell you.
I think that the MSNBC people are waiting for a "positive post regarding a Republican"
@Cynthia Nagel feel free to post one here when you can find it.
Nagel-----------Dont Boo<<<<>>>>>VOTE -------------------That Right>Go Back To Fox Noise
I am a 100% "ditto-head" regarding Alpha-Omega's first post above. I used to be a registered Republican (Read some of George Romney's thoughts to understand why). Starting about 30 years ago the party left me, I did not leave the party until about 20 years ago when I finally understood what was going on. Yeah, I am a bit slow, but better late than later.
usunderattack---News FLASH for you, yes there were more Democrats in the Senate for the first two years. However there is one BIG problem that you did not mention. During that time frame Senator Kennedy was ill and died at the same time Senator Franken was kept out while the votes were recounted over and over again.
There was actually only 24 "Working" Congressional days, that the Democrats had the Super Majority of 60 votes to get anything through the Senate, 1/21/09 thru 2/01/10. There were 241 fillabusters by the Republicans to stall or stop all Legislation.
Here is a link to explain how the Minority can stop the Majority, in the United States Senate. For most of President Obama's time in office, it has been the tryanny of the Minority over the Majority.
And Fox News isn't biased?
A former employee of Fox News called the company a "propaganda outfit" that is determined to undermine the Obama administration and Democrats.
"I don't think people would believe it's as concocted as it is; that stuff is just made up," the employee, whose name was kept anonymous, told the liberal media watchdog group Media Matters.
"They say one thing and do another," the former employee said. "They insist on maintaining this charade, this façade, that they're balanced or that they're not right-wing extreme propagandist."
"You have to work there for a while to understand the nods and the winks," the former employee added. "And God help you if you don't because sooner or later you're going to get burned."
The former employee's comments did not come as a surprise to many critics of Fox News, who have long suggested the channel is biased in favor of conservatives. The 2004 documentary film "Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism" criticized the channel and its owner, Rupert Murdoch, for skewing its reporting of events to promote conservative
viewpoints.
"Like any news channel there's lot of room for non-news content," the former employee continued. "The content that wasn't 'news,' they didn't care what we did with as long as it was amusing or quirky or entertaining; as along as it brought in eyeballs. But anything – anything – that was a news story you had to understand what the spin should be on it."
"If it was a big enough story it was explained to you in the morning [editorial] meeting. If it wasn't explained, it was up to you to know the conservative take on it. There's a conservative take on every story no matter what it is. So you either get told what it is or you better intuitively know what it is."
Internal emails obtained by Media Matters also showed that a seemingly spontaneous response concerning the Obama campaign canceling an appearance on a local news station to have been scripted by Fox News' producers,
In another e-mail obtained by the media watchdog, Fox News Washington Managing Editor Bill Sammon told his staff to downplay the importance of climate science that showed the globe's average temperature getting warmer
Raw Story (http://s.tt/1dggu)
I took this off TM's blog. It made me laugh along with everyone else who read it and made comments. LOL
easy....Media Matters? Are you kidding me. Only a desperate fool would believe these jokers. Uh, wait a minute..... smile
And Fox News isn't biased? At least MSNBC has Republicans on their shows and talk with them respectfully not like on Fox. Don't watch it or stop whining.
Whenever I do watch MSNBC I always see the show host talking with a couple of liberals who agree with him/her on the subject. No honest debate at all.
Fox news has liberals on everynight to give an opposing viewpoint.
They even hired Juan Williams and he guest-hosts sometimes.
MSNBC would never let a conservative guest-host. Not in a million years!
Try watching "Morning Joe". He is a Republican. And MSNBC never made the statement "fair and balanced".
yes, joe scarborough is a repub, but "true" conservatives/baggers LOVE to call him a RINO.
sullyman2112#3.1~~WRITES: Fox news has liberals on everynight to give an opposing viewpoint. WHO????
sully~~You are only equipped with mis-information thrown at you by fox lies and propaganda channel. You do not have what is required to research and understand truth and/or facts. If you did, you would tune out fox
he probably means Juan Williams.
beth.......If you are seeing Reublican guests on MSNBC talk shows, you might check the channel. MSNBC is a strictly lleft and liberal club!
Beth, I'm not whining, as you put, merely pointing out media bias. And it does occur on Fox and CNN and the laundry list goes on.
Fox has Liberals on their programs, just as MSNBC does....and I see very little courtesy shown to anyone on any network who has an opposing view.
I'm talking about the actual reporting of new, not commentary shows, like Ed & Hannity.
Does NO ONE report the news anymore!
Do you vote Liberal or Conservative? If you do there is no such thing on the ticket. So you are clearly a republican who quite frankly I don't care what you care about... And yes you are whining....
Pretty much an independent....you sure make a sorry case to vote Democrat though.
Not caring is why we're all in a mess right now. And you, are unable to carry on an intelligent dialog without rude overtones. Sad.
I have heard it all before Cynthia. I will say if you like big cats we have something in common....see I am not so bad...The big mess was caused by the republicans and if you can't see that then there is no hope for you although I don't know what an independent is. They 99% of the time vote republican...
Well, I guess I'm a 1%er after all. :-)
glad to hear it in this case Caregiver.... Your name says it all....
Thanks lfor1. Since I'm voting a straight blue ticket this year, according to Ryan, that would make me smart too, along with the other 99% of the people on here. (Trolls aren't smart, again, according to Ryan.)
Cynthia Nagel #4~~Does NO ONE report the news anymore?
YES, ABC, CBS, NBC.
If you want un-fair and un-balanced stay with fox.
If you want photo shopped, stay with fox.
If you want doctored video, stay with fox.
If you want hypocritical Christianity, stay with CBN.

Damn I miss Keith.
toilet in Texas... What ever happened to this guy Beck?
In the past I have never been greatly concerned with who has been elected President. I am now!
If Obama is reelected I believe (as do many others) that America will go into bankruptcy, the dollar will collapse ($200 for a loaf of bread anyone?), and we will head into another deep recession if not a Depression. Hard times like Americans have not seen in decades!
With America weakened domestically our enemies will take advantage and we will see violence on a scale much greater than is happening now!
I believe this election will be the most important one in our history! Please everyone, go and vote for Romney in November, persuade your friends to vote for him, send his campaign money if you are able to.
WE HAVE TO VOTE OBAMA OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE!
Romney/Ryan 2012
We have to throw robme hood and boy blunder back into the cesspools they climbed out of. Really sully going back to GWB policies is what will bankrupt the country. Why because republicans only know how to borrow and spend. Vote for robme hood and throw your life into the toilet because you won't have a thing left when robme hood sells you out to the highest bidder. Robme the best politician money can buy, Ask the Koch brothers.
More idiotic commentary from whom. What a surpise.
Whom-- Explain to me how anybody an go into the inner city by $300 worth of food stamps, for $100 cash. It's done all the time, I witness it. Is that the 47% or is that Fox news lies.
You lie about it you mean or are you one of those dumb enough to waste your food stamps on quick cash panhead. What you are doing is revamping the GOP lie that caused the debit card to replace the food stamp booklet. But then that is all you do is repeat the big lie.
Pancake, how can a multi millionaire buy a corporation, drown it in debt and profit from it, then close it down and lay off thousands of workers.
sullyman2112 #6~~Hurry, hurry, get your bags packed and move on over to Greece, We will stay here with President Obama and continue moveing this nation forward into great prosperity and equality for all. We will keep our assets, our wealth, and our jobs, in our country, for the common good for all of us real Americans! Bye, Bye sully
sullyman.......Wait till these Obama supporters discover that Obamas redistribution includes all Americans. Rich, Poor and Middle Class. He plans on redistributing our income to his choice of other countries. He is an Internationalist.
Ann Romney: "Oh Mittens dear, it looks like 47% of Americans are walking up our driveway."
Mitt: "Release the hounds! -----Excellent."
Ryan is no different.

The head of the U.S. National Counter-Terrorism Center told lawmakers on Wednesday that the deadly attack on the US Consulate in Libya on Sept. 11 that claimed the lives of the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three aides was a "terrorist" strike. But the official, Matt Olsen, said evidence so far suggests it was not planned in advance.
The only "unplanned" part was played out by Obama who failed miserably to act in a strong, decisive manner as the leader of the strongest nation on earth (in theory). Our enemies are empowered and encouraged by his lack of leadership while our allies are deeply concerned for the same reason.
Sullyman: Have you ever read a military history book of any type? Have you studied guerrilla warfare or terrorism tactics or warfare? Do you understand anything about how terrorists actually operate? You ignorance is appalling. Your call to "shoot from the hip" means we will create more recruits for Al Qaida or other militia terrorist groups. We have to get the right people and make sure we don't get the wrong ones. Its usually better to first let the host country round up those responsible and try them in their own courts under their own laws. Remember we are a guest of the country not an occupier.
You can not send in a wing of B-52's and level whole parts of Benghazi. This is not that kind of a war in fact this whole episode might be a criminal case handled best in a Libyan court by Libyan authorities. We know that most Libyans are on our side but there are also many militia fighting groups and tribes in a very fluid and dynamic environment where government control is minimal. The local situation is complex and requires scholars who understand the language and culture of the region. Remember, embassies and consulates by their very nature are not military fortresses. These are civilian employees doing government service work to represent the business of the U.S. in Libya in an office that has minimal security. We can not keep battalions of soldiers or Marines guarding the embassy or consulate. In fact, all countries sign agreements for the responsibility of the security of another country's embassy and consulates. Ambassadors and their consulate employees often face danger from mobs, criminals, and terrorists. Soldiers are not the only ones who face danger, these civilians face danger all the time.
First of all to help you with your education, we don't even know for sure who or what group in Libya are behind this operation/crime/attack. We need to know more basic facts like who, what, where, when, why and start gathering evidence, information, and linking this information with other facts and information we know already. The second thing is that terrorist melt away into the civilian population. Your best weapon is accurate information. Third we need to let the Libyans handle this as much as possible.
President Obama looks strong on his handling of this crisis. He is gather the facts, working with friends and allies, and has sent two U.S. Navy destroyers loaded with over one tomahawk cruise missiles and numerous drone surveillance aircraft. Terrorism is tough to deal with because it is often non-nation state by its very nature. President Obama has conducted a ruthless drone and Special Forces counter-terror war resulting in large numbers of al Qaida and Haqanni terrorists and their leaders being eliminated. But before you use lethal force you have to have accurate information, work with allies and friendly government, to see that information is turned into actionable intelligence. This takes hard work, time, painstaking effort, and patience but this is the best way to deal with terrorism.
When you don't know the basic information and just start shooting to look tough you end up killing lots of innocent people defeating everything politically you want to achieve in the region. The brothers and other family members of the innocent victims will join terrorist groups and want to kill Americans in the future. This makes more recruits for terrorist groups which is exactly what they want us to do right now. The awful and wrong way is the GOP/Mitt Romney way, attack first and ask questions later. President Obama is more cerebral about his decisions which is exactly the way a good leader always should be about matters of security.
Unplanned, really? Does Obama really think these guys, strangers no doubt, were all walking around in the vicinity of the Consulate, on 9/11, with RPG's and automatic weapons, and then all of a sudden collectively decided to attack? Maybe there was a second group of heavily armed strangers hanging out by the Safe House that also decided to attack.
The attackers were will prepared and coordinated. They were armed appropriately, had intelligence, knew the location of the Safe House and they executed a will developed plan of attack. They went in and got out, none were killed, none were arrested. An operation like that is not off the cuff. It requires intelligence gathering and analysis, significant planning, tactical communications, firearms, and crew serve weapons. The truth is even a US SPECWAR Unit would have significant challenges mustering at a specific location to be tasked with executing an imprompt attack of a facility in which they had no intell. Compound diagrams, building blue prints, number of opposition forces, opposition weaponry, the calibre and quality of the opposition forces, location and response time of opposition reinforcements, opposition communications, perimeter and interior defences, etc.... If our Government has concluded anything other than this attack was planned weeks in advance, they all need to be replaced for incompetence. Then again how could it have been planned weeks in advance if the attack was because of a Video? What a joke this Administration is.
And what would you have had President Obama do Sullyman? Go in there like a jackbooted cowboy and shoot up the place? Not everyone wants to keep war and chaos going all the time like your cowboy idiot that dirtied the doorstep of the White House before our current and good president. You would do well to remember that we are not the only ones with nukes and if we p!ss of the allies of our #1 geopolitical foe... we risk retaliation. I'm all for sticking up for our country but we can't fight everywhere at once and protect the homeland. Think before you reply. YEEEHAW does not win every fight.
Turnabout, "And what would you have had President Obama do Sullyman? I don't know what Sullyman expects of our President, but I expect Obama and his administration to be truthful. Knowing they received advance notification of the potential threat to the Libyan Consulate, Obama and his administrated initially denied and continued to deny this was a Terrorist attack planned will in advance of 9/11. I expect our President and his Administration to accept responsibility for his actions and policies. Obama and his Administration initially and continues to blame the Libyan Consulate attack on a Video that had nothing to do with it. Obama wants Americans to believe the attacks were caused by a Video and not his failed foreign policy.I expect our President and his staff take reasonable steps to protect our representatives in these countries when they receive advance information of a potential threat. Obama and his Administration failed to increase security of the Consulate, and that failure resulted in the death of four Americans and the destruction of the Consulate. I expect our president to stand up and defend our Constitution and our Rights. Obama and his Administration has sought to arrest and jail the film maker to satisfy the demands of our enemies. I expect our President to know the difference between "Actions" and "Words". Obama and his Administration continues to fund our enemies because of their words and ignore their actions. Egypt Government failed to protect our Embassy, promotes more protests yet Obama continues to with debt forgiveness and a Billion in Aid.
Obama did not create the Middle East Hatred towards America, but he fails to accept the fact the people in the middle East Hate the US. Obama and his Administration are perceived as weak and that weakness is being leveraged by our enemies.
Well . . . it could have been worse. President Obama could have just sat there frozen for 7 minutes, looking like he was going to dampen his jockies, and then jumped on Air Force One and flown around for several hours.
damskippy, Four Americans are dead and our Embassies and Consulates are burning across the Middle East, Africa, and eslewhere and you bring up Bush. Why is it you defend Obama when he and his Aministration lie about what they knew, what they knew it, and how they responded? It is as if Obama is sort of Svengali with the ability to remove all logic and reason from his follwers. You question nothing he does or says. You believe everything coming from his Administration even when it is proven to be false. The undying support for Obama in the face of such deception is unbelievable.
how many people were dying or dead on 9/11 when bush sat there for 7 minutes waiting for cheeeeeney to tell him what to do? how many warnings were ignored by the bush adminstration about the attacks on that day?
you say we question nothing President Obama says or does. that isn't true.
remember it is the repubs who were in lockstep with w. bush, loving and agreeing with everything he said and wanted to do. the undying support for bush in the face of all his lies, the outing of a CIA agent, and the 4500 troops who were clearly ONLY collateral damage in a war based on LIES.
don't mention svengali in regard to President Obama, when you all can't even look at the truth of your dead leader, ronald reagan, THAT HE RAISED TAXES 11 TIMES.
my guess is that you AGREED WITH THE IRAQI war, YOU BELIEVED THE LIE ABOUT WMD, and think the war was a good idea. you loved, and agreed with w. bush when he left the tora bora mountains to go after saddam hussein, and leave bin laden to run free.
President Obama is doing his best in the face of unprecedented obstruction and slander. i have never seen a president so demonized by repubs. aparently repubs don't care how they regain power. they hate him, and they are lying about him to make the american people hate and fear him, too.
where are their "christian" values? (prop)
President Obama is trying to do the right thing. is he perfect? no.
i am comforted knowing he is our President.
Suzette, Bush and Reagan are no longer President. We were discussing Obama and the lies currently coming from his Administration. I just can't see how those on the Left not only accept them, but completely dismiss them.
And believe it or not I opposed the first and second wars with Iraq. I am one of those "No Blood for Oil" guys. I must add however I believe there were weapons of mass destruction. It is a fact Saddam Hussein had a pretty significant history of using them.
It may also suprise you to know that I agree with you about Obama's Republican opposition. I think we probably disagree as to why there is such opposition. During Obama's first two years he shut out the Republicans from every thing he did. Remember him saying something to the affect of, "Republicans drove the car into the ditch and now they can sit in the back seat". Obama completely ignored the Republicans while he had Democrat majorities in the House and Senate. In 2010 when the Republicans took the House it was too late for Obama. I don't think he could of done anything to "Right" the wrong he had done to Republicans in his first two years. I see the entire matter as a lack of Leadership or at least foresight on Obama's part.
Any way, back to my last post. Are you offended by what has come out of the Administration concerning the Libyan Consulate? Do you believe the Administration has lied or at least attempted to mislead you? Does it cause you to be even a little suspicious of the Administration?
2ez,
in regard to the Libyan Consulate, i believe we don't have all the facts yet, so i can't answer the question.
this is what i believe in regard to President Obama's repub opposition.
on the very day that President Obama was inaugurated, high ranking conservatives (eric canotr, kevin mccarthy, paul ryan, pete sessions, jeb henserling, pete hoekstra, dan lungren (house), jim demint, jon kyl, tom coburn, john ensign, bob corker (senate). newt gingrich, fred barnes, and frank luntz. most of these men attended the inauguration, and they were astounded at the number of people on the mall, and the response to the election of President Obama.
my personal belief is that they were "envious" of the President and his popularity. they took it personally, and decided to put President Obama "in his place". it was during this meeting that they pledged to each other to say "NO" to all of President Obama's economic policies, and other policies.
i hardly think that "repubs drove the car into the ditch, and now they can sit in the back seat" is a comment worth all the obstruction we have seen. when the secretary of state (katherine harris) in florida stopped the recount in 2000, it was because the recount was going in gore's favor. as we all remember, the voters in florida were ignored so that daddy bush's friends (the supreme court) could "annoint" him president. MY POINT IS THIS: even though democrats were angry about the "annointment" of w. bush, they still worked with him, and gave him legislation that was important to him (no child left behind).
i haven't seen the repubs work with the President on much of anything, even turning their backs on things they have thought of and supported in the past. things that were ideas of CONSERVATIVES.
was the president a bit naive when he came into office? yes, he was. but his naivete was nothing compared to the hatred and bigotry the repubs had for him. i think it is very convenient that since the repubs PROMISED TO EACH OTHER TO REFUSE TO WORK WITH PRESIDENT OBAMA, that they now say he cannot lead, when we know they were led by w. bush, loving and agreeing with everything he said and wanted.
the truth is that "you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink". if, as robert draper says that the conservatives pledged to take back power by undermining the president BY REFUSING TO WORK WITH HIM, then their most important job in congress became that of making President Obama a one-termer.
say what you will, i have heard all of it before from repubs, and i disagree with you vehemently. i would hope that you would remember and know that the american people blame repub/bagger/conservatives for the downgrade in our credit-rating, the american people blame repubs for the obstructionism in washington. the american people want taxes raised a little more on the rich, but repubs are ignoring what the american people want, as they have for at least since President Obama took office.
i also believe that as our first black president, Obama has a price to pay, which is WRONG, but bigots are making sure he pays it (donald trump and others). paying this price is unfortunately PART OF HIS JOB so the next MINORITY has it easier. some of this might be human nature, most of it appears to me to be hatred and bigotry, and very unchristian.
last evening right out of the gate, scott brown brought up Warren's Cherokee heritage, saying ignorantly, (i am paraphrasing) "she doesn't look like an indian, so therefore she is LYING, she lied to get ahead by "the checking of the box". immediately i thought of donald trump and how the repubs badgered President Obama for his birth certificate, how they accused him of being a muslim (not that there is anything wrong with being muslim), now scott brown is doing the same thing to Elizabeth Warren.
they must feel this kind of campaigning works, or else they are desperate, and will try anything. people do believe what they have said about our President. why not do the same thing to Elizabeth Warren?
Suzette, Before I get to the discussion, I would like to thank you for your participation in them and the friendly and polite nature of your posts and responses. I really appreciate it.
Obama and his Administration had no problem with responding immediately by blaming a Video. They also had no problem denying they had previous warnings of the potential violence. Now after a week of "Its a Video", denying it was a planned attack, and saying they had no prior intelligence, the Administration is now saying, "All the Facts are not in yet." I personally believe there is sufficient evidence available to conclude Obama and his Administration have lied to us. I believe Jay Carney used the same response to similar questions asked of him today. Jay specifically said, "All the facts aren't in yet."
Suzette, There is in all probability some truth in what you believe about some of the Republican Leadership after Obama's inauguration. I also agree the Polls that indicate many people blame Republicans for the Credit Down Grade, just like I believed the Polls that indicated the majority of people were against Obamacare. I cannot agree with your comments about Bigotry as a motivation. I am a Conservative and I personally oppose what I consider wreckless spending in Washington. I believe our Representatives must do two things, 1) Cut Spending and 2) Increase revenue. I believe the revenue increases should be achieved by rewriting the Tax Code and implementing a Flat Tax in which every one will contribute to the operation of our Federal Government. I know you will probably disagree with my opinion, but I also believe you respect my right to have a differing opinion. Thanks again.
Terrorist strike on 911, attackers carrying RPG's, but it wasn't planned??? Ok...either this Administration is really stupid or they think the American people are really stupid...either way, it's not good. Of course you won't hear the subject discussed ob MSNBC. They're to busy thinking of new ways to smear Romney!
LOL..Romney's smearing himsself every day dumbass, he doesn't need any help.
What did Obama do when told the Consulate was attacked and the Ambassador was missing? He went to bed! Guess he needed his rest for more campaigning the next day.
Poor sully just what was Obama supposed to do declare war on Egypt and Libya and start WWIII. Or was he supposed to send troops without knowing who was behind the attacks. Really sully that John Wayne mentality only works well in movies not in real life.
The Obama Administration can't get it's story straight! First it was a random act of terror, then it was a planned attack and now it was terrorist act but not planned. Looks to me like the story of the day is whatever suits the spin doctors in the White House. It was on 9/11, they had RPG's and they scaled the walls knowing where to attack. Sounds pretty planned to me.
More lame BS from sillyman. Your boy Bush was warned about 9-11 and the moron ignored it. I love it when you simpletons grab onto ANYTHING you can, mostly thin air.
Vote the traitor teabaggers out!
Release your taxes Mitt! Time is running out!
John - still talking about your Teabaggin' fetish I see.
sullyman.... Before Obama went to bed he told the person on the phone to call Romney! That 3 am call. Now Hillary knows.
Sullyman: The culprits of this attack have to be handled by professional people. Professional people get basic information before suggesting action. Then they double and triple check again and again: sources, informers, and other factors to verify the authenticity of the information they have. It might be months or years before we have the total picture of what happened in Benghazi. President Obama's approach is certainly the correct one. It took ten years to find Bin Laden. Arrests were made in Libya in the last few days. If the Libyans got the whole network of people involved then now its a Libyan internal legal matter for their authorities to deal with. Perhaps it would be better to let the professional people deal with this incident because expertise is required that is beyond your pay grade and knowledge. We need any action we take to be the correct action based on cooperation with our allies and by accurate actionable intelligence based on good communication and planning. Otherwise we look like the ugly American cowboy who urinates in the wind on his leg and on his friends, just to say he is "doing something" about the problem.
Rex in Minnesota
I would answer sullyman2112 but you are right on and I could not add much if anything. sullyman is either quite young or has little world knowledge or both.
In 1965 I joined the USMC (Corps) served until 1993. Spent a little over a year getting my body back into condition to seek employment. I Picked a job as an electronics technician with the post office at the Columbia S.C. processing and distribution center in 1995 and again retired in 2009 due again to health reasons.
As to our State Department security problems, if the Ambassador had at least a squad... or better yet a platoon of Marine embassy security marines the situation would probably have had a different ending. Unfortunately most of these troops had been cut many years ago in favor of government contractors IE mercenary corporation staff. (Guess what regime this was under)
It would require about 3000 to 5000 additional marines to restaff the state department but I bet it would cost about the same as the limited private contractor staffing's now costs. (for each contractor, five to ten armed, trained and dangerous Marines directly controlled by the Embassy... and they are trained who to takeout with precise force and minimum collateral damage)
PS. It was suspected to be a well planned terrorist operation according to (Maddow) msnbc as one of first to state this over the internet. Sullyman if you wish real news you need to watch MSNBC, HLN or CNN to stay informed and up to the minute. Fox is quite counter productive for accuracy. I grew tire of vetting FOX the for truth, the other three will get you close and they will not try misinforming you to any major degree like FOX.
On review sullyman seems to be confusing the other attacks by different groups civilains in other areas of Africa with the killing of the Ambassador.
Alpha, Semper Fi. As a Marine you knew dam well from the onset this was a well planned assault not the spontaneous actions of group of strangers. You also know that when intell is received and not acted on Marines die. There have been recent attacks on the Consulate and the US Representatives in Libya. The Obama Administration had intellegence that the threat existed days before 9/11 and failed to upgrade the Security Posture or evacuate the Consulate. These Americans are dead and the Consulate lost because Obama and His Administration Failed to Act. And their response after the fact was to Lie, deny it was a well planned Terrorist Attack, and a failure of Obama's Foreign Policy. Instead Obama blamed it all on a Stupid Video. And now you, a combat veterian that has no doubt seen first hand the results of a failure to act on Intell is not only defending Obama's lies and failures, but blaming Republicans for budget cuts and outsourcing. You can Vote for Obama, that is your decision, but take off those Rose Colored Glasses. God Bless Marine.
Alpha-Omega: I would support eliminate nearly all contractor security and give the Marines their old embassy jobs back. I was in the U.S. Army and I do not know everything about the Marine embassy mission that has largely been turned over to private contractors. Most contractors I know earn around $100,000 annually for their overseas duty. Machiavelli in his famous work the Prince, warned about mercenaries despoiling you in peace and deserting you in war. Granted those two former Navy SEALs were brave guys who probably tried to do what they could to protect the ambassador and giving up their lives in the process. Private contractors are an expensive way to go compared to highly trained enlisted men led by competent officers and NCO's.
Rex, Marines, Solders, or Contractors makes no difference when the Administration fails to act appropriately when they receive Intelligence. The true issues concerning the attacks continue to be muddied by the Administrations deceptive practices. The lies have to stop.
1) They said it was a spontaneous attack. 2) They said it was in response to a Video. 3) They said they had no advance warning.
We know 1) It was a well planned and executed terrorist attack that had nothing to do with a Video. 2) They had intelligence warning of the threat two days earlier. 3) They failed to upgrade the Security Posture of the Consulate commensurate with that threat warning.
When will you call Obama and the Administration on their lies and failed Foreign Policy?
Rex
the two Ret. Navy Seals worked for the DSS Diplomatic Security Services.
so to my knowledge at this time, they was not private security.
Is it an "American Dream" for people to want to be on welfare, have a cell phone and cable TV?
Reagan lies to do fly. Poor little guy has a dog that won't hunt. Funny how it is always the tea bagged republican who has his hand out and whines he doesn't get enough. Even funnier is the guy who he supports wants to raise his taxes to pay for more tax cuts to the 1%.
I don't see President Obama offering a 30 percent permanent tax cut for anyone making under 200 thousand. Send that one up to Congress by itself and we'll sort out the Republicans and Democrats who want to stick it to the middle class....forget the
"make the rich pay a little more" mantra.....focus on the middle class and tax cheats like General Electric and their "Job Czar" Jeffery Immelt.
Right davey because lying republicans can be trusted to make permanent tax cuts oh wait thats right they can't make tax cuts permanent because the next congress can vote to take away the tax cuts made permanent. See another example of a tea bagged republican who just can't grasp that the constitution ensures that nothing permanent. But gosh darn it don't the lie sound good davey.
Sorry, born are raised a Blue Dog Democrat and proud of it. Liberals like yourselves and extreme right wing conservatives have hijacked both parties and both will go down with the ship. I've watched President Obama for 4 years, he is an absolute fraud, he made a bad economic situation worse and the apologetic foreign policy is a train wreck. Oh yeah, and by the way, Siemens blade manufacturing in Fort Madison Iowa, just laid of 407 full time employees and 163 temps yesterday, one day after Vice President Biden was speaking 25 minutes for the Siemens facility.
Oh and davey the GOP know they don't have the numbers to demand a constitutional convention to bring a permanent tax cut into constitution amendment, but people like you seem to believe they can even though the GOP leadership know that can't so they lie.
davey you are lying again. How do I know, rather simple, you use every wing nut talking point that Fox news produces. Really davey that you believe you can pass yourself off as anything other then a tea bagged republican is laughable at best and an utter failure on your part.
Davey - even if we wanted to we can't make any tax cuts permanent. It has to do with the Constitution, not to mention we can lower taxes in good years and raise taxes in lean years or as we currently have when our debt gets to be too much. Thanks to Grover Nordquist, we haven't been able to do the second because of his pledge not to raise taxes that he has gotten from every Republican legislator in Congress. It has been the Republican policies that have gotten us in this mess.
just like a lazy a@@ teapublican wannabe blue dog LOL
you are lazy cause if you read that article you see just why Siemens is laying off. I have already posted it for you but you have a reading problem maybe cause its your head is stuck in the 4th point of contact.
GE pays no taxes, well that does suck until you see about that they have fixed up and refurbished 15 old plants and open a few new ones like in Texas, Iowa. so they are adding jobs HERE in AMERICA and filling them with yup AMERICANS,,,so maybe they do get a little tax break. for bring home jobs and well actually working to help.
are they great NOPE are they going to continue this? who knows, but if they do then yes tax breaks for them.
Siemens to lay off 400+ Iowa workers at Ft. Madison wind plant
1:16 PM, Sep 18, 2012 | by Dan Piller |
Comments
Siemens has notified Fort Madison that it will lay off 407 of the 660 workers at the blade manufacturing plant that is one of the five largest employers in the city.
Siemens said the layoff is in response to uncertainties surrounding the wind industry with the pending expiration of the 2.2 cents per kilowatt hour production tax credit Dec. 31. No action is expected by congress until after the November election.
Siemens spokesperson Melanie Forbrick says 407 employees will be laid off at the Fort Madison plant. A total of 220 will remain at the plant, which has 600,000 square feet.
The layoff will be the second in Iowa this year. Clipper Windpower in Cedar Rapids reduced its workforce there by 76 workers of its 300 employees beginning on Aug. 27.
Siemens has been the major supplier of blades for MidAmerican Energy's 1,000 megawatt expansion of its wind capacity in Iowa in the last two years.
In 2008, Siemens supplied 76 blades for MidAmerican's Adair wind project in Iowa. In late 2010, Siemens received its largest wind order ever for 258 wind turbines for MidAmerican Energy's 593.4-megawatt Iowa wind expansion projects located in Adams, Adair, Calhoun, Cass, Marshall and Pocahontas counties.
This year Siemens provided the turbines for 176 wind turbines constructed at three sites in Iowa this year.
Wind energy interests have warned that job losses are inevitable if the 2.2 cents per kilowatt hour production tax credit is not renewed by congress before its Dec. 31 expiration.
"We said this would happen, and there likely will be more layoffs if the production tax credit isn't renewed," said Harold Prior, president of the Iowa Wind Energy Association.
Iowa has wind manufacturing plants at Fort Madison, West Branch, Cedar Rapids and Newton that employ about 6,000 workers, according to the American Wind Energy Association.
U.S. Sen. Charles Grassley said that the tax credit renewal is part of a package of so-called "extenders," also including the $1 per gallon tax credit for biodiesel, that are to be taken up by congress after the November election.
"Unfortunately, it won't come fast enough to prevent layoffs," Grassley said Tuesday.
Iowa is the nation's second largest wind generating state, with a capacity of about 4,500 megawatts.
Fort Madison is about 90 miles south of Iowa City, in the southeast corner of the state.

"Siemens said the layoff is in response to uncertainties surrounding the wind industry with the pending expiration of the 2.2 cents per kilowatt hour production tax credit Dec. 31. No action is expected by congress until after the November election."
well at lease you tried, but you forgot the part where the reason was they are uncertain cause to the republicans balking and waffling on that.
"Unfortunately, it won't come fast enough to prevent layoffs," Grassley said Tuesday."
to bad you had well over a year to prevent this, but you teapublicans just could not help people out. over 2.2 cents, while given billions of welfare to company's that dont need it!
daveydog4 #12.2~~Focus first, above everyone else, the tax cheat Mitt Romney, before voting for him to be president of the United States Of America.
Pilot - GE has a history of buying American companies, firing the workers and sending the jobs overseas. CEO Jeffrey Immelt is on Obama's jobs panel, what a laugh!
I worked for one of those companies: Marquette Medical Systems. A great company to work for, on the Fortune 500 'Top 100 Companies' list. Ge baught it, fired almost all of it's American employess and sent the production of the medical equipment it created to China. It even fired the woman at the call center in FL that I communicated with and sent those jobs to India. These weren't not highpaying jobs but GE wanted to get as much profit out of the deal as possible.
So don't hold up GE as a company that cares about America's workers!
LOL
here just so your slow mind can get this i understand its hard to read with your head in your 4th Point of contact.
"are they great NOPE are they going to continue this? who knows, but if they do then yes tax breaks for them."
let me add that goes to Any company that is willing to invest in the country that made them their money!
just to be clear.
For those who are determined to throw Obamas reaction time
into the decision as how to handle the problem in Libya.(or any place else)
What exactly did you expect him to do? He’s not a presidential wanna be like Romney,
His decisions carry extreme weight. He doesn’t have the luxury to just throw
@!$%# out there like Romney did. Romney can talk @!$%# all he wants but “thankfully”
it won’t have any lasting effect. (I hope) Any president with even half a brain
won’t open his mouth to address another nation without first finding out all
there is to know about a situation. And that takes time. And it will take as
much time as it takes to understand what’s happening. Prudence is the method by
which wars are won. Ronmey should know this. What’s that quaint little term lawyers
live by? Do not ask a question you don’t already know the answer to? Romney is
overly obvious in the method he “chooses” to use in order to capture the seat
of the presidency. It is more than obvious he has no issues with lying,
cheating or taking cheap shots during times of crisis. What he says one day you
can count on him changing by the next AND THEN, try to tell you that YOU must
have misunderstood him. IF Romney had any intelligence, when it comes to the
debates, IF I were him, I’d call in sick and pray his stupidity isn’t everlasting.
Oh and one more thing. I may be
Disabled, I may be one of the 47% lowlife losers living in the United States,
and the new “republican led” Voter ID laws may make it harder for me to vote, but
vote I will. Come hell or high water, if for no other reason than to spite
Romeny and his little followers of Tea Party Troll’s. If the republicans what
to stop me from voting, they will have to kill me before I get there.
Ron - the constantly changing stories coming out of the White House is what's being attacked. UN Ambassador Susan Rice is continuing to insist the attacks were spontaneous and are the result of the film demeaning Allah is ludicrous!
Great News Rand Paul on Morning Joe -- Absolutly SMASHED Joe Scarborough Liberals Guest. Hearald Ford Jr. was dumb founded.Willie just shut up with his foot in his mouth he was out of his league. Obama health Care looked foolish and here the killer Joe Scarbohough AGREED. Big Victory, go head libs come-on with your crap. After Obama performance on Letterman, The party is over and America will be SAVED.
On to the debates. Obama has NO CHANCE.
Or in the world of reality Rand Paul got away with lying on a conservative show. To bad for you panhead that you actually believe a lying republican is able to do more then lie. But then again you tea bagged republicans think any lie told 3 times magically turns the lie into unquestionable truth. Dream on panhead robme is going to fail because that is all the GOP does is fail, losers.
Lying? I wonder how President Obama will spin the lies about our embassy personel being killed over a movie.......state departement is reporting the total opposite, being a coordinated attack that had nothing to do with the movie. RPG's and Mortar Fire vs a spontaneous reaction to a movie ???? I wonder how CBS news will react to this, especiallly having President Obama spinning the lie on the David Letterman show? They have some serious "walking back " on this one. And he now has to explain why there was no security detailed assigned to the Ambassador while Valerie Jarret has 4 CIA personal assigned to her....STAY TUNED!
Once again davey you prove that you are just a die hard tea bagged republican. That you believe Rand Paul is anything other then a piece of crap that sold out to the highest bidder is laughable and really davey you have yet to prove Obama lied, what is rather telling is your distraction attempts at distracting away from the GOP frauds.
LOL
guess you dont realize the CIA does NOT assign anyone to anyone!
if she had a security detail if be from the DSS look that up if you dont know who they are.
whom - really whom? really? really? Teabbagged, really teabagged, lying teabagged, really. These are essentially the arguments you make in every post.
sully nothing explains the republican base better then the name they gave themselves because of their own stupidity.
goes to show you that fact checking and research still wasnt a big thing for them.
Why are Republican'ts so hypocritical about the word "Redistribution"?
The President just "TALKED" about it, but the GOP actually "DID IT" and gave us a $16 TRILLION national debt in the process.
The GOP "REDISTRIBUTED" the wealth to the 1% in the past 32 years since Reagan.
The real free loaders are the ones receiving TRILLIONS in GOP created subsidies, tax discounts, corporate welfare, loopholes, etc. ALL GOP Policies!
The GOP has awarded 1% of the people 40% of the nation's wealth by BORROWING and SPENDING and running a $16 TRILLION National Debt.
The GOP started the "REDISTRIBUTION OF DEBT" on the middle class when they made that PLEDGE to NEVER bring more Cash to the government.
Republican't policies of the past 32 years have created more and more people filing claims for entitlement insurance benefits than ever before.
Now these same people on the right and their base are calling the needy people names, insulting them and demeaning them.
The 47% are also being targeted because they have had a safety-net and get refunds on their income taxes.
Thank you Democartic leaders for creating national insurance protection for the lil' person from the Republican's nature to destroy the economy when they're in power.
Stop the lies, ALL GOP Policies at fault.
Stop the "REDISTRIBUTION OF DEBT" on the middle class.
Because they can't define words. Nor can they grasp that taxes have always been a redistribution since the country was founded. They believe in a American history based on Hollywood entertainment and myth made up to make all lifes problems be solved in 30 minutes or less.
BO - what %$!#@%planet do you live on? Obama increased then national debt by 6 trillion dollars in under 4 years. He isn't just talking about redistributing wealth, he is doing it. Increasing taxes on corporations and the wealthy. Obamacare and expanding welfare benefits while rolling back welfare reform. Typical tax and spend democrat and keep the money flowing to the 'hand-out' crowd to buy their vote!
This is why I am so anti-Democrat. They care more about staying in control than the good of this country!
Sorry sully but no 3/4th of that debt was created by interest on the GWB borrowed money and the GWB tax cuts, the rest Fox news just made to cause people like you to start drooling on yourselves in fake outrage.
whom - really? lying teabagged!. really, lies, teabagged Republican. really, FAUX news, really, teabagged, Robme, teabagged.... lol
Really sully don't like when others do what you lying republicans have been doing since Reagan first started the trend of attacking those who disagreed with him. What sully you thing you deserve a break or your entitled to use tea bagger when it suited your delusions that somehow you were some kind of American hero, except what you missed out on was that the Boston tea party dumping tea had been an attack on a corporation and not on taxes. But then again you enjoy your tea bagging rallies so reality isn't in your tea bag.
Rex, your post was excellent. To blame Obama for the Libya attack and all the other unrest over the insulting film and want him to send in the troops is folly. Libya was a terrorist attack. The other unrest has to do with many different agendas besides the film. These countries are striving for democracy but since change has not come instantly, the people are frustrated. Just as our climb out of the ditch the Repubs put us in has been slower than people want, Obama is blamed.
As for the question could Mitt's 47% comment hurt Ryan too. I certainly hope so because until we get rid of the Repub extreme agenda this country will not go forward in a positive way. The tea party people who were elected in 2010 have caused our democracy to fail the American people,
Obama doesn't know his as-s from a hole in the ground on foreign policy. David Letterman made him look like an idiot. Qbama New nickname, THE SIX TRILLION DOLLAR MAN. WOW WOW
LOL
you see it that way cause its your head stuck in your fourth point of contact.
he has walked circles around the last 3 teapublican administration on foreign policy. but you wouldn't be able to see that of comprehend nor understand.
PS poor panhead wasn't told that the guy he supports doesn't know the difference between a dirty bomb and a nuke warhead. Why panhead believes that the GOP can make tax cuts permanent BOL.
pilot your nothing but welfare con. it's like a drug addiction. memorized by msnbc welfare political agenda. Hell my son that lost his left hand had the.courage and started 3 cellular companies and didn't ask for a dime for.gov. assistance. while you cons sell your.food.stamps on the.corner streets on his paid taxes. .
Karl Rove 101 ........... Always accuse others of what you yourself are guilty of.
56 panhead? Isn't that a re-reg con artist?
seeing you are just a low life re-reg i call BS on anything you have to say! yes i mean any thing!
but i will continue to laugh at you and debunk your total non-sense.
The right wingers can not stand the thought that most Democrats are like me: I live on what my wife and I earn together. No one owes us anything other than what we have earned through our married working lives. I suspect most Democrats are exactly like me, we live on what we earn but believe that a government safety net, Medicare, and Social Security must be protected. I also support the Affordable Care Act but would like to see a Medicare for all public option so that all Americans get covered. This is not a "socialist utopia" vision it is the investments we need to do to have a healthy productive workforce that can compete in the global economy of the 21st century. Sick and injured workers make unproductive workers so making sure everyone has affordable health insurance is a national economic and national security issue.
Romney's foreign plan: "Kick the ball down the field and see what happens" Would you want this lame ass as your leader?
Vote the traitor teabaggers out!
Release your taxes Mutt! Time is running out!
Rex Good post's, Semper Fi to the other's on here, 392 Hemi, If Pres. Obama is considered the 6 Trillion dollar man by you, Then what do you think of the Billion's of Cold hard cash that Vanished in IRAQ while Pres. Bush was President??
Asking the middle class and the needy to pay for the GOP created TRILLIONS of debt is called...
"REDISTRIBUTION OF DEBT"
MSNBC and Ed are a complete embarrassment. This entire web site is dedicated to smearing Romney. Four Americans were murdered in Libya
because this president is more concerned in fund raising with celebrities and in
Las Vegas and spending time on talk shows. Any president who can wash the blood of murdered Americans by terrorist from his hands as easily as this poor excuse for a human being did doesn’t deserve a second chance. And don’t give me that crap that Bush did this and Bush did that. He has not been the president for the last four years.
LOL
Paul hope that 15 is not your age? do you have even a slight clue? or are you just spewing from autopilot?
“You're So Vain” Mitt Romney thinks about “Takers
ZX/ZY Makers” of America
Mitt Romney Caught-On-Video Telling Group
That “His Job Is Not To Worry About 47, 48, 49 Percent of All U.S. American
Citizens”
A +/- 3 Percent margin of error, means 44 maybe 52 Percent of All U.S. American Citizens have no chance under Romney’s hell or high water political agenda.
(The Conservative Republicans trying to run or govern and control our country, these
United States, seems to forget that “We the People” means everyone..., every
man, woman and child – NOT 47, 48 or 49 percent. Which by the way, translates
into what the republican conservatives really mean is that 98 percent of All
U.S. American Citizens will eventually have no health care, food, housing, to
you-name-it until the greedy two percent, corporate elite has it all, including
maybe even our soul).

In an interview on Friday morning with George Stephanopoulos for
"Good Morning America," presidential candidate former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) said that he believes that in the U.S., middle income is
$200,000 to $250,000 per year.
During the interview Friday that Stephanopoulos asked Romney if he believes
that "middle income" in the U.S. is around $100,000 per year.
"No," Romney replied, "middle income is $200,000 to $250,000 and less."
The U.S. census
bureau reported on Thursday that the U.S. median annual household income in
2011 was $50,054 — that is, half of American households make about $50,000 or
less. That number is down 1.5 percent from the 2010 median, declining for the
second year in a row.
In a week that has seen Gov. Romney lambasted in the media for his grandstanding approach to the
events in Libya that resulted in the tragic deaths of U.S. personnel, the salary
gaffe could further an already problematic narrative for the Romney campaign,
that the candidate is out of touch with the struggles of ordinary Americans in hard
economic times.

You're lieing IDIOTS! Ryan NEVER said that..of course, you know this. BUT..you are so full of yourselves and lies that, I imagine; you just can't help yourselves. I, as a single, independent and solvent individual...who pays tons of taxes on all levels..is sick of the "julia" world of Obama and the all too stupid Biden..what a tremendous JOKE and ridiculous duo those two are. You, MSMBC...are really BSmbc...get over Romney and Ryan and...here's an idea....try reporting the NEWS instead of making up little, ugly and untrue stories..I wonder who IS in your pocket, Mathews....could it be the one who gave you that little "thrill" down your leg? Hmmmm....something to think about, loser.
LMAO
"lighten up Francis!!"
might want to maybe slow down some and smell your bowls! why?
well you seem to have your head in there enough.
6748696: You have been outFOXed by MSNBC Again!
The GOP buzz words like "redistribution of wealth & tax & spend & appeaser are all just easy words for their base to understand but in reality when the same things are done under a republican they have used different words to describe them.
Perhaps the Democrats should use some inventive negative language to describe the republicans. The real leaders of the Teapublicans are Rove Norquist & the Koches supply the misinformation and now select the people who they want in office to fulfil their agenda and sign their prewritten legislation.
Even the bills they have names that are deceiving like "Right to Work" is really right to fire. And the names of their covert PACs like Citizens United is really works more as citizens divided as they sound like they are in support of the average Joe's and Jane's which in fact are working against them.
Tea Party is supposedly supporting term limits yet Paul Ryan has been in Washington since 1999 and has little to do anything to help the people of which he is suppose to be serving. Its to bad that the Tea Party was highjacked by the Koch's it was a grassroots movement in the beginning and now is known as AstroTurf. Now the two main parties are more like the Union and the Confederacy one fights for freedom of the slaves and the other dominion over labor. Except the Republicans are the neo-carpetbaggers of the USA with their full attack on the middle class.
This is what happens when too few people have too much money and and with it, too much power.
Way too much power robert!
A-GREED!
I was wondering why John McCain hasn't been banned from the republican party by now?

The top tax bracket for U.S. corporations stands at 35 percent, one of the highest rates in the world. So how is it possible that a giant of American business, General Electric, paid nothing in federal taxes last year, even as it made billions in profit?
And should the CEO of GE, Jeffrey Immelt, be advising the president on business?
For two years, President Obama has been talking about the need for corporate tax reform, declaring that the system is too complicated and that companies pay too much.
"Simplify, eliminate loopholes, treat everybody fairly," Obama said in February.
For those unaccustomed to the loopholes and shelters of the corporate tax code, GE's success at avoiding taxes is nothing short of extraordinary. The company, led by Immelt, earned $14.2 billion in profits in 2010, but it paid not a penny in taxes because the bulk of those profits, some $9 billion, were offshore. In fact, GE got a $3.2 billion tax benefit.

"Two things are disconcerting. One is, there's disproportionate amount of profits being reported offshore. And then, even for the profits that are reported onshore, they're paying less than 35 percent," said Martin Sullivan, a contributing editor for Tax Analysts.
2010 was the second year in a row that GE recorded billions in profits and paid no taxes.
During that same period, Immelt has been a close advisor to the president on the business community, a relationship that rubs some the wrong way. Immelt serves as the chairman of Obama's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.
In a statement, General Electric said that it "pays what it owes under the law and is scrupulous about its compliance with tax obligations in all jurisdictions." The company claims that its zero-dollar tax bill is largely a result of losses at its financial arm, GE Capital, due to the Wall Street meltdown.
White House: Immelt Advises on Jobs, Not Taxes
Today, White House spokesman Jay Carney said that the president is "bothered" by the idea that a U.S. company could pay no taxes, but he wouldn't talk about GE specifically. Carney was also quick to say that Immelt's council advises the president on job growth and not on tax policy.
"It is part of the problem of the corporate tax structure that companies hire, you know, armies of tax lawyers to understand how it works and to take advantage of the various loopholes that exist, that are legal in order to reduce their tax burden," Carney said.
When President Obama announced his decision to appoint Immelt to the unpaid advisory role on job creation in January, some critics wondered whether the move was appropriate. Under his leadership, GE laid off 21,000 American workers and closed 20 factories between 2007 and 2009. More than half of GE's workforce is now outside the United States.
metoo use your google if you can master it and look up all the top corporations in this country that paid very little or no taxes what so ever. GE is just one of them. The hilarious part is you idiots support a party that supports these corporations yet you come here and whine about them. Goofy ass ppl.
John that's why piss is yellow and cum is white...So a republican knows if they are cumming or going..
skippy the punk your such.an idiot. Top 25 companies paid 121 billion in taxes. Go play with your entitlement game.
metoo wants to pick out GE but fails to mention all the corporations that oay NO taxes and get tax REBATES. Fails to mention the $billions in subsidies going to oil companies. IH paid 1% fedaeral taxes. The list goes on, but metoo won't mention that stuff. And he's one that like sending nasty messages through the "vine contact". He is a vile individual. Claims to have a "great" education but doesn't let it show.
Every time I come on this site, it is just so comical with all the Republicans on here trying to plead there case. Why don't you try pleading it in 2016, cause Obama has this race and thank god he does.
I think they know its over. And the more extreme rants prove it. LOL
They're not trying to plead their case. They're here to insult, spread hate, racism and lies. That's all we ever hear out of them
