Ann Romney, wife of the GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, sat down with The Tonight Show's Jay Leno on Tuesday to talk about the fallout from her husband's remarks on the 47%.
Romney said she found the situation "very frustrating," and then went on to describe her husband as someone who "cares for the 100%," including a "dying boy."
Again it's a very frustrating thing because you try so hard to get your message out and you try so hard to let people know this is a guy that I know cares. This is a guy that cares for the 100%. And you don't like those things to get misinterpreted as to what, why we're running, and how strongly I believe in how important it is in what Mitt can bring to this country. And so we care about the 100%. And I've seen this guy through his entire life do the most extraordinary things and the thing that I notice—there are two things about Mitt: that he cares and he's confident. And there's things I've seen him do when he was a busy, busy executive, and just starting our family and all of these boys, and all of this confusion. But where do you find Mitt? You'll find him at the bedside of a dying boy. And who is he bringing there with him? He's not talking about doing something, he's the guy that does. He just goes and does. And that's who I know him to be... he's a caring person. And it's the ups and downs of a campaign—it's frustrating.

I find it rediculous that they are desperately trying to make Mittons human. I dont buy it at all. Yes someone who tries to divide and c onquer is not good for the US Of that I'm sure!
Lyric.........Have you been asleep. What do you think Obama has been doing for the last four years. What do you think a community (inciter) organizer does?.
Obama has been governing the country while at the same time dealing with an obstructionist GOP for the last four years.
Despite the delusional state of the right wing, he was still able to help the economy, and get other things done.
Well, the one thing Obama didn't do in the past four years, is exclude 47percent of the country. Whether you agree or disagree with his views, he has been an inclusive president. Romney, is like the wind, blowing opinions all over the place to see what sticks. Wow, this is more like a soap opera. I can't wait for the next chapter to unfold
not really for Obama, but your comment certainly rings true!! Romney is affable enough, but does not strike me as any one who has a grip on whats going on..Still eludes him., he's forever in a haze, sorry, really sorry ! Opps Hannity & Limbaugh are in his corner, need I eloborate.. Really bonifided Losers
I wonder how many of the 47percent she was trying to reach.
Let's face it, he said exactly what he felt. Now, the the fire storm has erupted, he is trying to back track and take it back.
This isn't working, and it's not working badly.
That dying boy's family was probably not part of what Romney calls the 47%.
Romney said exactly what he meant. Romney was in an environment where he was most comfortable. His policies and belief represents the elitism of his campaign. Romney statement and Ryan as his VP only validates the intention of cutting tax for the rich and raising tax on middle class Americans. In addition, they will privatize Social Security, turn Medicare into a voucher system, cut Medicaid, Education, and many other social programs that effect middle class Americans.
Poor Ann. I imagine it must be frustrating to be married to a guy who is forever putting his foot in his mouth and contradicting himself left and right. Oh well. Maybe the mega bucks he made from destroying people's lives will help to ease her pain.
The fact that Romney is putting his money and investments abroad (Switzerland/Cayma Islands/Bermuda, etc.), just shows how greedy he is and his family. If he really cares about the American people, he should put his investments in this country to help the middle class. Just because Mitt went to see a dying child doesn't mean he really cares about poor people.
Enough is enough, Ann Romney. You have lived a lifestyle that is beyond the reach of 47%, and you love to flaunt it! It will be hard to "sell" your husband to the American people because you both don't care. How about the $77,000.00 deduction you claimed for your horse? It was your hobby, right? So why claim it a deduction in your tax return if you really are so righteous and caring for ordinary Americans. You both just want to beat the system and get RICHER!!!!
Romney pays the taxes he is required to pay! I always understood you work hard to succeed. We live in America where you can be any thing you want to be and if you don't it's your fault. Don't complain because of laziness. It is hard work to be a success. Why do settle for being ordinary?? Tell me where you got the idea Ann Romney got a 77,000.00 deduction on her horse! Are you up in arms about Michelle Obama and her trips paid for by taxpayer money??????
Ok media get on this. What is the name of the little boy and when was Romney at his bedside?
The dying boy would have to be among the 53%, because Mitt can't be bothered with the freeloading other 47%.
Or the dying boy was a Mormon. In that case, his family could have been part of the 47% and Mitt would have cared. Mormons do take care of their own. I seriously doubt that Mitt would have been at the beside of a dying boy of any other faith or non-faith.
Mormons are supposed to have 6 kids to be able to get into heaven.
Let's face it Mitt only cares about Mitt. Ann & Mitt really believes that because who they are he is entitled to be President. Talk about entitlements they head the list. They are also entitled to hide their taxes and hide their money offshore so they don't have to pay taxes. He's entitled to take money from working folks to help finance his campaign and he has not put up one cent of his own money. Talk about takers and moochers. He has enough money to finance his own campaign but won't he rather take it from others. He isn't willing to put his own money at risk or on the line for something he wants and believes he is entitled to. MItt is full of S--t
So let me get this straight...
Mitt goes to a rich boy's house who engages in debauchery and is a self-proclaimed bisexual, stands in front of everyone and says he does not care about 47% of America - and is supposedly a "family man" - does not even know why windows do not open on airplanes, is called The Stench by his running mate...
And now he asks his wife to fight his battles?
**Who were the nutjobs that nominated this "tired old prince" to represent the Republican party?
I am no expert in politics, but here are a few general principles:
1. as a presidential candidate you represent ALL of America
2. if you want to unite the nation and bring people from both sides of the aisle together, do NOT hire the most polarized person in America (Reid) to be part of your campaign staff
3. if you are not sure about something, LOOK IT UP. There is this invention called GOOGLE. Now anyone doing a 3rd grade science project that wants to google about airplane windows will have Romney posted all over the place.
4. Treat people with respect, no matter if the cameras are running or not. If you do that, it will take you far in life.
I don't beleive Ann or Mitt. They don't really care about YOU PEOPLE. Ann, talking to women voters said "Mitt won't abandon you". REally? He has already promised to abandon 50 million people by repealing Obamacare. Poor people can go to the emergency room to get health care. You don't get healthcare, they take care of the immediate problem and that is it. You don't go to the emergency room to get your regular prenatal care or any other regular stuff.
Romney doesn't care about the 47%. Actually, I don't think he really care about the 98% either. For once, I beleive what Mitt said about something.
Go on GBTV and he has a show that has people who know Mitt Romney that say he does kind things everyday and never uses it for political gain!!
Yeah, I am sure Mittens is the most requested over at the Make A Wish.
Sitting next to a dying boy ...and pulling the plug.
He promised the dying boy he'd hit two home runs for him over center field!
I'm frustrated too...
But in a news story from Minnesota, there is a potential lesson -and hope- for candidate Mitt Romney. The very same Mitt Romney, who in recent remarks, abandoned nearly half the people in America.
It’s a story about a 4 year old Pekingese dog, appropriately enough named Mittens, and an abandoned kitten.
Mittens' owner, Pat Weber, says the kitten was just days old when her grandson found her in the family's barn and brought her into their house in early September. Weber says the 2-inch kitten was "ice cold," ...She wrapped the animal in a warm towel and it started meowing, which attracted Mittens.
The kitten, now named Bootsie, began suckling on Mittens. Weber says her dog, which had a litter two years ago, has nursed Bootsie ever since. "Mittens has been mothering this baby, as far as she is concerned it's hers," she said. "And as far as the kitten is concerned, this is her mother”.
Mr. Romney: What a wonderful, heart-warming lesson for you!
For if Mittens the dog can find it in her heart, not only to adopt Bootsie the cat, but to actually start lactating for her....then perhaps Mitt, the candidate, can also start lactating a bit with the milk of human kindness and understanding.
Perhaps it may even encourage Mr. Romney to run as President for ALL the people - not just a potential President of the wealthy, by the wealthy, and for the wealthy.
Think about it Mittens, ....I mean Mitt.
The problem still lingers for RobMe. If you have to tell people that you have empathy, that only reinforces the perception that you really don't. Besides someone in the Mormon community, where are any of the 47%'ers who can say that he did anything for them? That's right, you can't find any because they are under the bus where he threw them.
