Beau Biden has some strong words for Paul Ryan: Lay off my dad, hypocrite.
On Sunday, the Delaware attorney general and son of the vice president dug his claws into his father's opponent at last Thursday's debate. Appearing on Sunday's This Week, the younger Biden dismissed as "outrageous" the Republican claim that the Obama administration doesn't take seriously the security of diplomats around the world.
It's "especially outrageous coming from the congressman, who in his budget proposed to cut diplomat security by $200 to $300 million," he said.
The subject of diplomat security has become a hot-button issue on the campaign trail since the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, was killed in an attack in Benghazi last month.
Beau Biden, a 41-year-old Iraq War vet, blasted Romney's foreign policy record, pointing out that the former Massachusetts governor once disclosed a meeting with a secretive branch of British intelligence, in addition to casting doubt over London's readiness to host the Olympics.
Team Romney "seems to be more interested in kind of pounding their chest to make the neoconservatives who advise them proud than they are about being serious about foreign policy and protecting our national interests around the world," said Biden.
Biden also rebutted GOP criticism of his father's laughter and repeated interjections during last week's debate.
"I'm happy to defend my dad," he said. "...Any time the other side—Karl Rove or folks on the far right—are going after my father for smiling too much, you know that's a victory."
Biden continued, saying the issue was not "how much my father smiled or how many gallons of water that the congressman drank nervously on that stage. It's about talking directly to the American people about very important facts, and what you saw from my father was him articulating the vision that the president and he have to continue to build this middle class, you know, out and take this country forward."

I Agree with Beau Biden. The GOPers are behaving in a reckless way. The GOPers lack imagination and creativity as they rehash the same old idea of tax cuts. Well when you cut all taxes and cannot afford to build roads and schools, when you have no funding for a military, when you can no longer fund electric utilities, dams, or resovoirs to provide for irrigation etc.,...,etc, how do you pay for these things?
I totally agree with Beau Biden also. He is an Iraq war veteran who put his life on the line. Where were Romney's five sons and where was Ryan during these past 11 years? I didn't hear of them entering the military to defend the country they pretend to love so much. Hypocrites to the ends of the earth and back!!!!!!

Please Cookie, don't be silly. Romney dodged service his entire life. Although he came out and supported the Vietnam war, he his out in France instead! No one in his entire family has ever served! As to Ryan, the man is a coward as well, also ducking any kind of service to his country, of course other than making money as an overpaid, underworked congressman!

The VP did what he could do to get through it, laugh! They have heard these lies for too long to just sit there! As we the voters have watched for months now, we are also very upset at the lies, and the right savataging our Nation's economy for their political gain. The voters who vote for them are either racist, self-acclaimed christians, conspiracist, uneducated, uninformed, and down right hateful!

I think we should ask Romney WHY he no longer pushes what he debated for in the primary debates. Why has his position on all issues flipped back and forth depending upon who he is talking to (a people pleaser to get votes and then do as he pleases? the true signs of a liar).
Also what efforts has he made to make America better? stronger? And, I notice his children opted to stay out of "harms way" - you didn't see them in Iraq or Afghanistan. Real pro-American family? NOT

Obama is an only son and therefore is not subject to going in the service so as to save the fathers last name. Romney protested FOR the Vietnam war and then his father got the government to allow mittens to go to France and detour 4 times. I lost several of my friends and family to that ugly war, and help a few who still suffer from it.

VP DEBATE was a tie. As for Biden's smiling, laughing, chuckling, it's not so much that he did it, but WHEN he did it.
